VOLUNTEER REQUESTS:
- High School parents are needed to help with the HS Teacher Appreciation Day, which will be Tuesday, May 8. Please contact Barb Antonucci at bjantonucci@gmail.com if you are interested in helping making the day special for the HS staff.
- Mrs. Casanueva is looking for parent volunteers to donate material and sewing time to make 28 chair book baggies for her class. Please contact her at casanueva_leandra@svvsd.org
- Looking for parents interested in interviewing potential staff. Please contact Pam Wanninger at motherofive@lpbroadband.net
- Our K-3rd grade teachers are in need of gently used (or new) books to improve their classroom library selections. Books can be sent to the following contacts:Kindergarten - Mrs. Gardunio; First Grade - Mrs. Casanueva; Second Grade - Mrs. Jarvis; Third Grade - Mrs. Higgings.
- Volunteers needed to help with TPCA Field Day, Tuesday, May 8th (rain date May 9th). Two more people needed from 12:15 to 2:30. Contact James Finn at finn_james@svvsd.org
- Parents needed to help with set-up, man stations and tear down. Third grade Ecology Day on Thursday, May 10th 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please contact Mrs. Norman if you are interested. norman_cynthia@svvsd.org

Teacher Appreciation
Colorado/National Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 8. The PTO is planning a day of celebration for the staff. Elementary parents will receive communication through your child's room parent. Middle School and High School will get an e-mail soon. We will be providing lunch for the staff and are asking parents to sign up at the following link to help provide food for the day: http://bit.ly/I2YK3H. Fundraisers:
Collect and turn in your Box Tops for Education and help earn a reward for your child's homeroom teacher. The class that turns in the most Box Tops for Education by Friday, May 4th will earn a popcorn party and the teacher will get a spa gift certificate!
Twin Peaks is competing with Flagstaff to see which school can collect the most Box tops for Education. Contact your friends, families and coworkers to see if they will help you collect. The school that collects the most Box Tops by the May 4th will get a treat from the opposing school.
