OCTOBER IS NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

 Prime America is putting the pedal to the metal to help spread Breast Cancer awareness for the month of October. This year, Prime's drivers will be wearing Pink Ribbon Enamel Pins along with their uniforms. With their striking pink color, the pins serve as a reminder for women to get their annual mammogram and move one step closer to a cure.
According to Medline Plus, breast cancer is the second leading cancer death for women in the United States, with nearly 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lives. This risk increases with age, weight, alcoholic consumption, using hormone replacement therapy, taking birth control pills, not having children or having your first child after age 35.
Although breast cancer is associated with women, men can develop it as well but in rare cases.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in which people wear signs of a pink ribbon to serve as a reminder to get a check up or memorialize someone that has been diagnosed, takes place in October every year. Prime America is excited to participate and help bring awareness to employees, customers, and the public.

PRIME AMERICA MEETS WITH ULTA BEAUTY
|
In late September, Prime America had the pleasure of meeting with the Director of Transportation Services at ULTA's Distribution Center in Romeoville, Illinois.
ULTA is the largest beauty retailer that provides one-stop shopping for prestige, mass and salon products and salon services in the United States. ULTA focuses on providing affordable indulgence to their customers by combining the product breadth, value and convenience of a beauty superstore with the distinctive environment and experience of a specialty retailer.
The introductory meeting proved insightful for Prime America's President/CEO, Mike Katyal. Prime focuses on high demand, high-value industries, including personal care and beauty. "Because we are particularly experienced in transporting personal care products, we are always trying to build new partnerships with businesses in that industry," Katyal said. "I feel that we could be an excellent fit for ULTA and I hope to prove that we can be one of their approved carriers in the near future."

Brayhan has been an exemplary employee since he started working at Prime. Currently the Logistics Manager within the company, Brayhan exudes the skills and dexterity that have made him a success at the company.
Brayhan attended Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, CA and then went on to serve his country in the United State Marine Corp. After he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the USMC, he attended California State University, Los Angeles and earned a degree in International Business.
Before working at Prime, Brayhan gained experience working for GiTi Tire, a global tire importer. Of his position at Prime he says he enjoys the fast paced environment and getting the opportunity to build relationships both inside and outside of the company.
Outside of Prime, Brayhan is also the singer/manager for the band "Innerphase." He and the band have opened for acts such as Berlin, Dramarama, and Flock of Seagulls. He also enjoys working out and traveling.
