Production Planner/Scheduler: Qualifications include bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years supply chain or scheduling experience in manufacturing, APICS CPIM Certification required, proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent ERP, order processing, planning and organizational skills. Suncoast Workforce Program Year
In Review

ResultsWe are pleased to share with you highlights of the past program year that proved to be successful. In addition to striving to meet State performance measures, a snapshot of activities is provided below. We seized the opportunity to implement several organizational changes and two new programs through special grants that improved our service delivery model to businesses and job seekers. Program year highlights from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 include:

  • 115,275 customers who visited our career centers of which 16, 044 were first time visitors
  • 6,093 customers gained employment after receiving services 
  • We hosted a total of 106 individual employer and industry-specific group job fairs
  • 193 customers completed occupational skills training 
  • 20 employers participated in on-the-job training and 36 new employees completing training
  • 65 customers completed training through the Workforce Investment Act and 264 gained employment
  • 83 customer obtained their GED
  • 673 military veterans gained employment

We'd like to thank the businesses who worked with us and utilized our services. We'd also like to express our gratitude to the economic development organizations who advocate our services and connect our Business Services team to employers, community-based organizations who refer customers in need and educational institutions who provide training for our customers. Special thanks goes to Suncoast Workforce staff that worked hard this past year to meet the demands of the community and for their continued focus on our Mission: To recruit, train and retain talent for the Suncoast and Vision: To be the workforce leader in Florida. Had it not been for these partnerships and our dedicated staff, our programs and services would not have been as far reaching. Thank you for a great year!
