Dear ,
Communication, whether verbal, written or electronic is an important part of everyday activity. We sometimes take for granted how technology has allowed faster dissemination of information. For instance, job seekers can follow our job alerts via Twitter@SuncoastWork or "like us" on Facebook@suncoastworkforce for real-time job postings. Did you know that the first commercial use of an electric telegraph was successfully demonstrated by William Cooke and Charles Wheatstone on this day in 1837 between Euston and Camden Town in London. We've come a long way! Sincerely, Mary Helen Kress President & CEO

Area Businesses utilize job fairs to connect with qualified applicants |
|
Suncoast Workforce has job fairs scheduled in August, and more brewing! One is for a call center with positions that include call center agents and floor supervisors. We are also assisting another company hiring home health aides, certified nursing assistants, and registered nurses. Job seekers interested in these opportunities may visit any of our career center locations for more information and to apply to be interviewed. Employers with job openings may contact Business Services to learn more about recruiting and training at joborders@suncoastworkforce.org. If you haven't tried our services, check us out. If you haven't worked with us in awhile, give us another try. There are no fees for our services! |
| HELPFUL ONLINE TOOL FOR HR PROFESSIONALS, JOB SEEKERS AND OTHERS |
|
Periodically, we like to share resources with our readers that we think bring value. One website we find helpful for career exploration and job analysis is O*Net Online . For instance, a keyword search by occupation will provide detailed descriptions of the world of work that includes tasks, knowledge, abilities, work environment, work styles, values, projected openings and wages and more that are specific to that occupation. It can be a great tool for job seekers, workforce development, HR professionals, students, researchers, and more. See how it might work for you.
