Rev-W

Hello Friends,

I hope that everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend. For many of us this week is a new beginning - it marks the beginning of a new school year and season. There really is nothing more filled with anticipation, excitement and nervousness than the first day of school. As we have merged as two communities into one church we understand the meaning of the nerves and joys associated with new beginning.

This week both campuses are going to be buzzing as we feature some of the ways that people can get connected and involved in Shepherd of the Hills at both sites. Rally Sunday will feature some of the ways that we live out being a community. This week really is a chance to begin again - you can start something new or recommit to something that connects you deeper to God and the community.

With newness in mind, both Pastor Craig and I will be bringing a message about a community that understood new beginnings and upheaval. This week we are going to bring a story about the people of Israel from Nehemiah. The people had experienced great upheaval, and now as the wall has finally been built they experience newness and the fear and joy that can create. Come this week and celebrate and worship with a community that seeks newness and is always looking to see what God has next :)

Blessings,

Pastor Sarah and the Pastoral Team
