August 9, 2012  Greetings Friends, It's been a busy summer at Shepherd of the Hills with so many of our church family going on vacations and experiencing some time off! But that doesn't mean things have been quiet at either campus. Last Saturday we welcomed hundreds of visitors to the Mission Viejo campus for the Baja Payback to benefit YUGO Ministries. It was a fun and unique event and we have to thank Charlie Keller so much for being such a force behind making it happen! We look forward to more Church Family events this month, including...Sheep on a Beach! It's Sunday, August 26th, and everyone from the RSM and MV campuses is encouraged to come to the beach for a time of, well, beach fun!!! Check your weekly happenings for more info. This Sunday we continue our series "God: Characters Welcome" where we get to hear another message highlighting God's interactions with people from the past, people like you and me, and what He revealed about His own character in these interactions. SHIP dinners
The Shepherd-hosted SHIP dinners begin this weekend--thanks to all who volunteered their time, effort and supplies to make them happen for our two weeks through August 25th at the SHIP house in Garden Grove. If you feel the spirit to contribute, we need funds for breakfast, lunch, and other supplies ($180 per week supports seven guests a day). Please contact Mark Burke for details.
