Hello Friends, This week we are going to get to experience a very special thing as a community... our children and youth Music Camp's performance! I have been blessed enough to see the previews and it is wonderful. It fits right along with our theme, God: Characters Welcome. This year several of God's characters are featured in the musical that tells the Old Testament in fast forward! Get ready to see and hear music from all of your favorite Old Testament characters!  Vacation Bible School Outreach We are asking the congregation to bring in new backpacks on July 15th and July 22nd. During VBS week, July 23rd - 27th, we are asking all the VBS participants to bring in school supplies. All new backpacks and school supplies with be donated to SCO (Southy County Outreach) to help equip children in the community for the upcoming school year.  Music Camp Performance "The Old Testament Fast Forward"
Everyone is invited to the Music Camp performance tomorrow evening, Friday, July 13th at 7 pm at the RSM campus. Ice cream social on the patio following the show.
There will also be an opportunity to see the performance this Sunday, July 15th during our one worship service at 10 a.m. at the RSM campus.

 Trunk or Treat Planning Meeting
There will be an organizational meeting for 2012 Trunk or Treat / Chili Cook Off on Sunday, July 29th at 12:30 p.m. in the RSM sanctuary. The actual event will be held late Sunday afternoon and evening, October 29th at the RSM campus. We need help with all areas of the event including games, crafts, food, chili cook off, and many general volunteers. If you have helped before, you know it will be a great time; if you haven't, this is the year to get involved! Contact Vicki Faivre for more information.

Self-Help Interfaith Program (SHIP) Dinners
Here is a fantastic opportunity to help the recently jobless...
SHIP dinners are being hosted by both campuses of Shepherd of the Hills from August 11th - 25th. We will be responsible for providing dinners each night by 6:15 pm at the SHIP house in Garden Grove. It's a rewarding and family-safe, chaperoned environment, with full kitchen available. Please bring your cooking utensils, your love and support, and heart for conversation!  Shepherd of the Hills Preschool

The preschool is closed for the summer, but we are always available to do tours. We have a few MWF spots for Jr. K and 3's. There are also several T/Th spots for 4's and 3's. If you know a family with a prospective preschooler, we would love it if you would give them our phone number!
We will have Orientation for all new preschool families in the latter part of August and then Open House on Sunday, September 9th . The first days of school will be Monday the 10th/ Tuesday the 11th.
