Week of June 10th, 2012 
Friends, Hello from Annual Conference and Happy Fathers Day week! I am blessed to have my father here during this great holiday where we get to recognize the men in our lives who have made an impact. For some of us it is our biological fathers, for others this is also our spiritual fathers. This week we will join together to look at 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13, the story of the dedication of David. Who better to tell us about the dedication of David than our own David? David Enger will be bringing the message this week. I am looking forward to hearing from him on this great Sunday! We will meet in the sanctuary at the Rancho Santa Margarita campus to approve our New Governing Documents and the 2012-2013 Budget. Church members have voice and vote.

 Shepherd of the Hills Inaugural Worship Celebration

Both campuses of Shepherd of the Hills will unite for a special single worship service. Join in the celebration as we launch this new multi-site church in South Orange County. All worship services at each campus will be cancelled for this Sunday. A picnic potluck will follow the worship! Join together with choirs, praise bands and messages from Pastor Sarah & Pastor Craig. The worship will conclude with our Resident Bishop Mary Ann Swenson celebrating holy communion.

 Relay for Life of Rancho Santa Margarita

Relay for Life celebrates the lives of many who have battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and raises funds for cancer research. Come, participate! Whether you walk, man the tent, participate with our craft activities, or provide your story, you are helping to fight back against the disease. Be a part of the Shepherd of the Hills team!

 Auction Items for Youth Ministry Support our Youth by donating items that will be auctioned off on June 24th. Items may include baseball tickets, new electronics, desserts, sports memorabilia, services, restaurant gift cards, etc. The proceeds from the auction will help send the Youth to summer camp.  Vacation Bible School
At Sky VBS, kids imagine what it would be like to bounce among the clouds, soar with eagles, and reach for the stars. The Bible comes to life in new and powerful ways as kids explore why nothing is impossible with God.
July 23rd - 27th from 8:45 am to noon at the Mission Viejo campus. Registration opens April 10th. Forms are in the church office or you can register and pay online. The cost is only $45 per child, additional siblings, $40. Contact Laura Schwarcz if you have any questions.

 Shepherd of the Hills Preschool

The last day of school is always a day of emotion. Our wish as we end each year is to end this chapter in the children's preschool lives in a calm, reassuring, yet joyful way. All of our classes met one last time on our play yard and shared songs they all enjoy - one from chapel and one from the classroom. We then all enjoyed a yummy snack of ice cream and some social time. There were lots of hugs and heartfelt goodbyes. We wish you all a safe and happy summer!
