Week of May 27th, 2012
Hello Friends, I hope that everyone's week is going well. Sometimes after a holiday weekend it is hard to return to the day to day of our weekly schedule. My prayer is that during this week you have had time to reflect on Jan's message from last week, or that you have had a chance to think about the things that bring you joy as we continue our series on "Living It Up." Seeing God's blessings in the everyday is one of life's biggest blessings and challenges. This week we will close out the series together with the question, "How is authentic joy contagious and how do we express that?" We will look at a scriptural example together from 2 Chronicles 9: 5-12. I look forward to seeing you Sunday! Blessings, ~ Pastor Sarah |

Church Conference Tomorrow
Friday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m.
Potluck & Conference at the
Mission Viejo Campus
Friends, As our church moves forward in the official merger process, we are now ready to start the next chapter of our work together. This Friday, June 1st at 6 pm we will be having a joint Church Conference with a very narrow and specific agenda. Of course, as good Methodists we must potluck when we meet so be sure to bring something to share for dinner. Again, the Church Conference will begin with dinner at 6 pm. The following is our agenda: 1. Presentation of New Church Structure & Systems
2. Consider and Vote on New Structure
3. Elect Persons from Both Campuses to Serve in New Structure
4. Elect Delegates to Annual Conference
5. Approve the Board of Trustees to Submit a Loan Application to the United Methodist Development Fund Our District Superintendent will once again be present to preside at our Church Conference this Friday. Members of both SMUMC and SOTHUMC will have voice and vote at this Conference. I will look forward to seeing you this Friday at the Mission Viejo Campus for this important gathering. Grace to You, Craig+

 Shepherd of the Hills Preschool
"... do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
~Joshua 1:9
As we enter this last month of school, we're so proud of how our children have grown; physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We learn from them each and every day. It's so rewarding to see their growth, but sad to say goodbye. They're ready to move onto a different class, or graduate to the "real world" (kindergarten!) So, this is the month that we slow down and savor every moment we have with them. We'll have lots of fun with our Beach Days and celebrate our fathers with 'Donuts for Dads' Day. Because the last day of school is always emotional, we end this chapter in our children's Preschool life in a calm, reassuring, yet joyful way. Both of the classes meet one last time on our yard and share songs together that we all enjoy (along with some yummy ice cream!).
In HIS Service, Becci Lukes & Cindie Reilly
