Week of April 29th, 2012

Hello Friends,
This week we will finish our series "Church with No Walls." We will be looking at a story that may not be familiar to many of you. In Acts 28, Paul is shipwrecked on the Island of Malta and encounters strange circumstances. Sometimes we serve the greatest number of people and witness to God when we are thrown into some of the most unexpected situations. This is a perfect story of being prepared for the unexpected ways God will call us into service as we conclude our stewardship campaign, hoping to transform the world for Jesus Christ. Don't forget brunch follows worship and that it is one service at 10:30 a.m. See you Sunday.
~ Blessings, Pastor Sarah

 Shepherd of the Hills Preschool
" Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it."
~ Luke 11:28
The month of May is filled with activity! We will be honoring our very hard working mothers with a special presentation of song and gifts made with their children's loving hands and hearts. We are reminded that the love and kindness of our mothers reflect the unconditional love that God gives to all. We will also be honoring our teachers for all their hard work during teacher appreciation week.
Our children will spend this month learning about farm life and the animals God has created. We will talk about healthy foods and end the unit with a Country Fair.
At the end of the month, we will celebrate the creative work of our children, whose masterpieces will be displayed in the gallery of the preschool yard. Children will eagerly search the gallery, excited to find their own works of art amidst the works of their fellow artists. Refreshments of ice cream will be served, families and teachers will mingle, and photos will be taken with celebrity teachers and artists! It is always a joyous occasion to celebrate the creative talents of our remarkable children.
In HIS Service,
Becci Lukes & Cindie Reilly
