Week of Dec. 18, 2011

Hello Friends,
This week, as we prepare for the coming of Christ, I hope that you have had time to sit and reflect on the meaning and hope held in a manger. I am looking forward to spending my first Christmas Eve with this congregation. There is something so magical about Christmas Eve services. As I look at the nativity scene, I am reminded that God came into this world in the most humble and unexpected way. This year the services are going to include some familiar music and some unfamiliar stories! Christmas Day we will join together for one celebratory service at 10 a.m. as we celebrate the birth of Christ. There is no better time to be joined together as a Church community!
~ Blessings, Pastor Sarah

Children's Ministry - Mexico Trip Supply Drive
This January many of our members are heading to Ensenada, Mexico to build houses and conduct a Children's Program for the people in the local area. As we prepare for the Children's Program, we are in need of various supplies. Please take a look at this list of needs here. If you can donate any of the items, we would greatly appreciate it. Supplies can be placed by the bookshelves in the lobby on Sunday mornings or in the office during the week (Mon-Thurs. 9-12). We also are looking for $10 donations to give Bibles to the families in Mexico whose children participate. We are teaming up with 'One Book One Life' to get these Bibles.
