Week of Dec. 4, 2011

Rev-W

Hello Friends,

It is hard to believe that we find ourselves in the third week of Advent. Time sure flies! As we continue in the series, "No Parking," we will study a story from the gospel of Luke, the story of Zachariah. Zachariah, the father of John the Baptist, gives us an example of what happens when we try to "stall" God's plans. I hope that you have found some quiet time this season to reflect on where God is moving you next. See you Sunday!

~ Blessings, Pastor Sarah

Help decorate our Sanctuary for Christmas! If you would like to order a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one, please pick up an envelope in the Lobby. Once completed, you may place it in the offering basket or return it to the office. They may be taken home after Christmas Eve services or on Christmas Day.

House Building & Children's Ministry

January 12-16, 2012,  Register today

Join us in service to God's people in the Canyon Buena Vista area of Baja, Mexico to build two homes and provide children's ministry. Whether you enjoy swinging a hammer, hanging dry wall, telling stories, or supervising games, there is a place for you in this mission. No experience or special skills are necessary - just a willing heart to answer God's call. We need 24-28 people for the house building, plus 10-12 to work directly with the children, and 5 to prepare meals and snacks for the children. Download the registration form here. Contact Pastor Craig if you have questions.

Children's Ministry -
Mexico Trip Supply Drive

This January many of our members are heading to Ensenada, Mexico to build houses and conduct a Children's Program for the people in the local area. As we prepare for the Children's Program, we are in need of various supplies. Please take a look at this list of needs here. If you can donate any of the items, we would greatly appreciate it. Supplies can be placed by the bookshelves in the lobby on Sunday mornings or in the office during the week (Mon-Thurs. 9-12). We also are looking for $10 donations to give Bibles to the families in Mexico whose children participate. We are teaming up with 'One Book One Life' to get these Bibles.
