Week of Aug. 14, 2011

Hello Friends,
This week we are continuing to read through Romans 12 as we look at becoming a New Creation. Romans 12:9-18 is often labeled as "the Marks of being a True Christian" section - which is a pretty intimidating title. This scripture seems to indicate that someone who is living out their call of being a new creation in Christ will look and act a certain way. The rebellious side of us may not like this idea of conforming, but this week we will work through how God can use our rebellious nature to transform the culture around us... so come this week and see what God has as a message for each of us and for all of us as a community of faith.
Blessings, see you Sunday!
~ Pastor Sarah

Prayer Opportunity / Praying for Others
If you would like to become part of our Cooperative Parish Prayer Chain or if you have a need for prayer, please email Carolyn Bohmholdt. Prayer, as we know, is simply communication with God through written or spoken words, thoughts, meditation or song. It is a very powerful tool. The power of prayer should not be underestimated. James 5:16-18 declares, "...The power of a righteous man is powerful and effective." All requests received through "In Touch" cards or office communications are distributed to the prayer chain for continued prayer during the week.
