Week of Aug. 7, 2011

Hello Friends,
This week we will begin looking at Romans 12 as we continue our "New Creation" series. I don't know about you, but I have found this series to be challenging and have begun to look at the places in my life that need to be re-created and re-imagined. This week we will look at the focus that it takes to see God's vision. One thing that is interesting about nature and human nature is that in many ways it is easier to conform to our environments, it takes less energy! But this week we will look at the fact that in order to align our lives with God, we are going to seek transformation which is really conforming to God's way of life. It looks radical in a world where our vision is often formed by the marketing around us. It going to be a great week as we worship together and share in communion!
Blessings, see you Sunday!

Prayer Opportunity / Praying for Others
If you would like to become part of our Cooperative Parish Prayer Chain or if you have a need for prayer, please email Carolyn Bohmholdt. Prayer, as we know, is simply communication with God through written or spoken words, thoughts, meditation or song. It is a very powerful tool. The power of prayer should not be underestimated. James 5:16-18 declares, "...The power of a righteous man is powerful and effective." All requests received through "In Touch" cards or office communications are distributed to the prayer chain for continued prayer during the week.
