Greetings!

Our Honduras program continues to gain momentum. In March, two entrepreneurs in our program visited us in Florida where we connected them with leaders in their industries. Then Elizabeth Stills, Manny De La Vega and I had an excellent Mentor Visit to Tegucigalpa in April. Elizabeth's "women's intuition" brought out several incisive insights that Manny and I never would have thought of. Manny, of course, has uncanny coaching instincts that we steadily relied on. One of the highlights was helping to build connections between our nine entrepreneurs. Although they all attend the same large church, Entrust is helping them to do more business with each other, compare notes in their searches for salespeople, share resources on access to capital and production consultants. It's also inspiring to see these entrepreneurs work together on a program to battle teen suicide. For more on our Honduras program, please read on. You're also invited to our May 10 Honduran Dessert (reply for more info).

Please consider giving to help us alleviate poverty through job creation.

Muchas Gracias!

40 Attend Our Conference on Innovation

Elizabeth Stills, Manny De La Vega and I gave examples of "Innovation & Creativity" from our own businesses, stressing the importance of the pursuit of excellence - finding ways to get better every single day. Here are our English-version handouts:

"Top Ten Innovation Killers" & "Questions to Spur Creativity in Your Business". Elizabeth TeachingIn the subsequent business visits, it was great to hear our entrepreneurs referring back to things Elizabeth and Manny had taught at our half-day conference. Since it was hosted by Vida Abundante church, I taught a session on "business as mission", stressing how the Resurrection of Jesus gives us confidence to invest in this world He will one day finish renewing. See it in article form in English or Spanish. The conference was well-received, was co-taught by Honduran presenters, and was Entrust's very first in Honduras!Manny Teaching

New Logos Position Businesses for Growth

Mayte and Oscar are thrilled with the re-branding of their businesses which Entrust facilitated. These "before & after" images hint at the potential these new logos have for attracting new clients and nurturing loyalty with existing ones. A big thanks to Neal Aspinall who created the Tortilleria logo and Gary Zuyus who designed Mayte's logo. Each donated their time and talent and I recommend them for any design work you may need: http://nealaspinall.com and http://zuyusartistry.com. My company uses them both regularly.

Hector Can't Hire and Produce Fast Enough, But Faces Workflow Challenges Hector with Employee

Recall Hector's vision to create 2000 jobs in five years; he's off to a good start by creating 10 in the first quarter of 2012! Although Hector builds 180 of these large pieces of pine furniture per month, he cannot keep up with the demand. To streamline his division of labor, and redesign workflow and work stations, he needs an industrial engineer to spend at least 3 days with him. Do you know someone who may be interested?

Your Help to Rename a Water Bottling Company!

"Agua Goascoran" is named for a coastal region which Hondurans assume would have dirty, salty water. So, owner Marco Tulio is looking for a memorable new name that communicates his commitment to providing ultra pure and healthy water. Manny and Karen came up with a good possibility: "Agua Vital", but we'd like to pass on your ideas to Marco Tulio as well. He has amazing heart and energy, building this company in three short years, showing fatherly care for his employees, and seeking ways to fight the gastrointestinal diseases prevalent in Honduras. Read our report from the April Mentor Visit to his business.
