Show Networks & Control Systems by John Huntington
The new book from Professor John Huntington, "Show Networks & Control Systems" reminds me of my iPhone-each version is even better than the last. This one builds on the first three versions of "Control Systems for Live Entertainment," except this one is self-published, which means he had complete control over content, layout, size, and everything else.

Open Aperture | | Tupac's Ghost Revisited
 | Tupac's Ghost |
When we first saw the news about the "hologram" at Coachella during a duet between Snoop Dog and Tupac Shakur, who had been deceased for 14 years, it was like a vision from the past and the future at the same time. Recently, we learned that our good friend Demfis Fyssicopulos was the production designer.
Demfis said that the set, lighting, and video content design for the holographic portion of the show had to be carefully thought out and implemented. "The set encompassed some elaborate elements that allowed us to use the pepper's ghost projection system and integrate it with the overall look seamlessly," he said. "The video content was designed to give us a virtual extension of the set, and lighting was very meticulously designed and implemented to integrate all the components. The design process took over three months. Designing all of these elements, teamed with an a class production team and vendors, allowed us to ensure that the execution of the holographic projection went as we had envisioned."
Nicely done Demfis.
