A former attendee of the Entertainment Electrics Training Seminar writes:

I have recently been doing some video work and we have been having issues with flashing video display tiles. We're using Element Labs' Stealth LED video panels and the rig gets 208V AC power via Socapex cables straight from a power distro. Each Soca' line (one to stage left and one to stage right) has a breakout to Cee-form connectors (Cee-form is a European power connector - ed.) and L6-30 connectors. The 208V AC is converted to 48 VDC at the PDB.  Each leg of the breakout powers two Data Supply Units via 4-pin XLR and one Power Supply Unit via Powercon. We use three legs of the breakout on SL and four on SR.  SL does not flash more than SR. The tiles are configured in a checkerboard pattern through a portal, so there are literally tiles missing in order to create a see-through checkerboard effect. Normally it's a solid rectangular or square screen and power and data are passed from one tile to the next.  We are still passing power and data on from tile to tile, although we have to have way more data runs than a square/rectangle screen would normally have in order to do what we're doing between Stealth and the Catalyst media server.

New Classes Added to Schedule!

Austin, TX: August 15-17, 2011

Texas State University San Marcos: January 9-11, 2012

"Great class. Completely exceeded my expectations." - Steve Fisher, Honolulu, HI

"...presented clearly and in the most common-sense way possible. It's really good to be able to cram so much knowledge into such a short period of time." - Michael Roche, San Marcos, TX

New classes have been added to the schedule of upcoming offerings. In addition to classes in Austin in August and Texas State University San Marcos in January, 2012, two classes will run consecutively at the end of August and the beginning of September. The classes are taught by ETCP Recognized Trainer and author Richard Cadena and because the course is an ETCP Recognized course, each hour of class time counts as recertification credits.
