Greetings!

As we approach summer, we have lots of choices.  Do we want to go on vacation?  If so, where and when?  Looking forward to enjoying the simplicity of hanging out with the kids?  How about tackling some honey-do's?  Or digging in the garden?

Whatever choices we make, we are likely wishing to have FUN.  Summer seems to be synonymous with joy, sunshine and activities.

For me, I plan to do all of the above.  It is my intention to cultivate joy, embrace the sunshine and choose activities that align with my soul.

What are your plans for the summer?  Perhaps you get yourself a pedicure, or try some allowing...
SELF CARE
The indulgent pedicure
One way to indulge in self care is to get a pedicure. You can choose to drop into the local nail salon and pay around $15, or make an appointment at your favorite day spa and spend over $50. Either way, I recommend pedicures for both women and men; getting your toenails painted is not a requirement, merely an option.

FeetMost pedicures have the same basic rituals.  First, you get to sit upon this lovely vibrating throne.  Be sure to keep hitting the "more" button if the timer runs out!

Once seated, your feet are submerged in warm, often mineral-treated, water.  Allow your emotions and "extra baggage" to be washed away while your feet soak. Relax into a few long, deep breaths.

As a divine being, your feet are luxuriously pampered by an expert.  The roads you've walked are scrubbed away with a pumice or natural stone, the excess you no longer need is trimmed with care, and then your legs and feet - which carry you through each day with such loyalty - receive a rejuvenation massage.

If you do choose nail color, let your heart lead you to find a fun summery color to dazzle those toes!  Complete your pedicure with a generous tip for your expert and perhaps a new pair of sandals for you.

Pedicures can be done by yourself, of course.  However, if you have the spare change, I highly recommend you allow someone else to bestow this lovely treat upon your grand self!  You deserve it!
AWAKENING
Allowing
Raised metaphysically, I learned a basic concept at a very young age: I created my reality.

This concept can be a bit overwhelming for many of us.  When my life was going well, I stood upon my platform, looking down on others' messy lives "knowing" we all created our realities.  Ha!

Then my life crumbled.  I could not believe I created all the hardships in my life.  I was a positive, idealistic person with a mind full of good thoughts and a heart full of good intentions.  What happened?

In prayer, I asked about the metaphysical "manifesting" belief.  In short, what came to me was that "manifesting" was only part of the energy; the doing ("man" / male) energy.  I was shown there was also another part; the feminine energy of allowing.

As you discover there is more to life than "going out and getting it" or when manifesting ceases its magic, perhaps it is time to allow.  We are simply CO-creators in a Divine Universe.

We are collectively moving into balance, where Yin and Yang are in harmony.  Thus, allowing, receiving and not doing are feminine qualities we are embracing as the pendulum shifts.  It is time to ALLOW.
SACRED LIVING
What is truth?

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the definition of truth is "sincerity in action." Therefore, when you know who you are, all your actions are rooted in sincerity.

TorchesFrom a spiritual perspective, truth is the ability to know who you are. (In Oneness, there is no such thing as who you are not.) Truth is allowing the essence of who you are to open your heart to you. Truth is "expansiveness", it is "opening," it is energy. And yet, it is nothing; it is no thing. And, of course, truth is in everything.

Trying to find the "right" way, or even the "highest" way, to explain or understand truth is like trying to find the "right" or "highest" expression of God. There is no "highest" expression. God simply IS. Truth simply IS. (Read More)
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Socrates
"If measure and symmetry are absent from any composition in any degree, ruin awaits both the ingredients and the composition... Measure and symmetry are beauty and virtue the world over."
May your summer's composition have measure and symmetry!

Blessings,
