Thirteen high school EdGE Program student volunteers and staff members headed south to the Big Apple from April 15-19. The group of students came from three high schools within the EdGE service area, Narraguagus High School, Jonesport-Beals High School, and Sumner Memorial High School. It was the first time many had visited New York City. Read More

EdGE Students Enjoy Craft-In & Sleep Over

Twenty students from Ella Lewis Elementary School, Milbridge Elementary School, and Cherryfield Elementary School attended the 3rd annual Craft-In Sleep Over at the Ed Greaves Center on Friday, May 21 through Saturday, May 22. Read More

Students Participate in Iron Chef Challenge

The EdGE sites at Milbridge Elementary School and Harrington Elementary School hosted "Iron Chef" tournaments this spring. Participating 7th & 8th graders divided into two teams at each school and "battled" each other with new recipes every week. At Harrington Elementary School, the teams were named Gourmet Chefs and Sugar Babies. At Milbridge Elementary School, the teams did not have names. Read More

EdGE Hosts Spring Fling

Iron Chef

Close to fifty students and their family members braved the uncertain weather of May 8th to participate in a Spring Fling at the Ed Greaves Center. Families were able to try their hand at an array of indoor and outdoor activities including the high ropes course zip line, Wii bowling, crafting May baskets, learning origami, and cooking nutritious and delicious side salads. Staff Update

Charlie Harrington, EdGE Program Director, and Allison Ouellet, Assistant Program Director, attended a 21st Century Community Learning Centers summer training in Augusta on April 30th. 

Mia White, Site Coordinator, graduated from the Washington County Leadership institute in May.
