There are only 8 more days until North Texas Giving Day 2012. Will you multiply your giving by donating through Donor Bridge next Thursday between 7am and midnight?
We need your help to Give Change a Chance. The funds raised through this one day will impact 15,000 at-risk students. It only costs $1 to reach 1 at-risk student.
The $15,000 we hope to raise on September 13 will provide student assemblies in school districts where the JSY STARS Peer-to-Peer Mentor Program is in place. These assemblies will encourage students to avoid risk behaviors by focusing on their dreams and goals. They will funnel interest into the peer-to-peer program so that impact can be long-lasting.
"Becoming a STARS mentor has helped me tremendously," said one of last year's mentors. "I have become more motivated and determined. I also have a better outlook on life and I know that it's okay to make mistakes as long as you do your best to learn from it and correct it. I will forever be grateful for getting the chance to become a STARS mentor."
