Get Up & Give Change a Chance

The 4th annual North Texas Giving Day is a month away and we want you to Get Up & Give Change a Chance! Give teens a chance to change the direction of their lives by saying no to risk behaviors and YES to their dreams and goals.

When you donate through Donor Bridge on September 13 between 7am and midnight, your donation will be matched. Last year, 13,500 donors gave $9.7 million to 600 nonprofits through North Texas Giving Day. This fundraising drive is not only a great way to give and see your donation multiplied, it's a great way to spread the Just Say YES message.

We need your help to make this giving day bigger and better than last year. Mark your calendars. Show your support by joining and sharing our Facebook Event. Let everyone know that you plan to give to Just Say YES on North Texas Giving Day.

We will continue to keep you updated on how you can give through Donor Bridge with emails the week before, the day before and the day of the event. We will also keep you updated through our
Facebook and Twitter pages. Visit our website for all the details.

Make sure you open next month's newsletter to find a special graphic you can share through Facebook and email to show that you plan to Give Change a Chance!

STARS National Conference Recap

This year's Donor Bridge funds will go toward providing speaker assemblies in DFW schools already participating in the JSY STARS Peer-to-Peer Mentorship program.

Last month, 19 local mentors attended the STARS National Conference in Colorado. There, they received the 2012 National Program of the Year award and JSY Mentor Coordinator Carlos Phillips received the 2012 National Coordinator of the Year award.

Thank you for helping send our mentors to this life-changing conference!

"This conference has changed me so much! It made me realize that I wasn't alone. It has really lifted my spirits and confidence." Brea B (mentor)
