The Floating Stone Inn

The Floating Stone Inn & Aqua SpaMay 2012

Dear (Contact First Name),

We're just two days away from the closing of our sealed bid auction of the Floating Stone Inn & Aqua Spa.  While we don't know who the highest bidder is yet, it is clear that whomever it is willl be purchasing a gem of a property for a fraction of what was invested here.   LindaRocky I am not seeking my full investment back (approximately $4 million), but look forward to handing over what I've accomplished here to someone who can take the Floating Stone forward in a better way than I am able.

Many people ask why am I deciding to sell at this time?

While this has been a project of the heart and one that gave me great joy in the planning stages, I don't have the deep pockets that it will take to build the site out.

And, it was always my intention to have it professionally managed.  As many of you know, my background is not in hospitability.  My interest was in creating educational programs here, which I've never had the time to do as Rocky and I needed to be constantly involved with day-to-day operations.

What a buyer would be purchasing is the next, 21st-century spa with the ionized water technology.  All site work has been done with county-approved plans for a fuller buildout that would include an owner/manager's unit (with a great view of the Santa Ritas), 6 more on-site rooms, plus another meeting room.  There are also plans to put two more pools on the property and it is possible to build 8 more units at our off-site Floating Stone Casitas.  Just by completing the plans I have for expansion, the Floating Stone Inn would have 25 rooms and 5, all ionized (similar to natural hot spring water) pools to showcase.

We have already received endorsements from Sunset Magazine, there will be a AAA Backroads TV show featuring the Floating Stone and Tubac  which airing on Channel 3 at 4:30 PM in Phoenix and Channel 13 at 10:30 PM in Tucson on Sunday May 20th 2012.  There are many other articles that you can read on our web-site:  www.thefloatingstoneinn.com.

With a heavy heart, I am willing to hand over this magnificent property at a fraction of the cost.   Whomever purchases the Floating Stone, will become known as a trendsetter in the spa industry as chlorinated pools will become the next dinosaurs.  Chlorine is a known carcinogen.  It also causes many other problems such as dry skin, red eyes, bad smells, etc.  It is still amazing to me that people will spend as much as they do at high-end, expensive resorts and spas, and soak in chlorinated water.  This is completely unnecessary as copper-ionized filtration works effectively and creates an overall better water experience.

If you have an interest, or know someone who does, please have them call Fernando Palacios at  877 895-7077 from National Commercial Auctioneers.   All bids must be received by the auction company by May 10th at 3pm. Please direct all questions to Fernando.

Please note that Scotty Johnson's Holotropic Breathwork workshop is this Saturday, May 12th,  on "Global Breathwork Day.   We have Mark Shelley coming back to tell us about his bicycle experience riding on the Anza Trail. Betty Edwards will be performing popular songs with piano and voice on our patio May 26th.  All in all, we have some great events scheduled through the end of May and into June.  Pleae read about them below and Rocky and I hope to see you there.

 .

Sincerely, Linda Ellinor

Owner of The Floating Stone Inn & Aqua Spa

Ahhhh-qua massage

While soaking in your

double-filtered, ionized pool at the new Floating Stone Inn and Aqua Spa, you might ask:

Does it get any better than this? Before you answer, try 50 minutes of gravity free stretching that helps joint and nerve decompression.

Or a water massage with someone gently kneading the stress points in your neck and back. Um, what was the question again?
