Dear (Contact First Name),
Season's Greetings!
On Wednesday, December 21st, we invite you to attend our Winter Solstice Celebration at the Floating Stone! We will be introducing our new staff, including new receptionists, wellness professionals and others joining us. There will be music, movement, wine, and light refreshments. You will hear about our new programs beginning in January and also about the apportunities available for you to participate in our work/trade partnership program. This is a free event. Tell your friends and come.
On Thursday, December 8th, Brown Riley has invited me into the quantum consciousness group to talk and give a demonstration of David Bohm's "Dialogue". I used to teach this many years ago and have co-authored a book on the subject. Bohm was a quantum physicist who turned to philosophy late in his life. Dialogue is meant to be practiced in groups over time. It helps develop collective thinking which leads to ways whole groups can live and work more coherently together. It has the potential of building a joyful, connected community where all voices are heard and honored. I'll also be announcing an on-going Dialogue group beginning in January.
We are proud to announce that the "Pure Joy Academy" with Elaina Love, a world renowned master chef & instructor and Chris Whitcoe, a holistic nutrition educator will be joining our staff. They wil be offering a free talk and cooking demonstration that will preview their 5-day workshop, January 8th to the 13th, on December 17th from 5:30 to 7:30. See below for details. We are so excited to have them onboard.
My son, Colin, is visiting from Santa Rosa, California and helpling us develop our internal systems for a few months. He and I attended Kim's restorative yoga class and Adrianne's aqua meditation class last week and were blown away by both. Kim's aqua yoga and hot yoga classes continue to be big hits and I'm hoping that you will try Adrianne's Grace, Stability, & Strength class right before Christmas and into the new year. This will be offered on Fridays at 11:30am.
I want to thank all you who turned out for our wonderful Thanksgiving Gathering, with a very special thank you to Pati Hope who organized it and even soaked the organic turkey we shared in our special tenderizing high alkaline water. The meat virtually fell off the bones. Rocky led us in a silent ritual at the fireplace before our meal. It was a lovely day leading to new friends and connections. See the photos below.
One of our new friends from this gathering is Paul Carrillo and his father, Tito, who represent the potters of Mata Ortiz. We are now featuring their pottery in our reception area and will eventually be featuring more in our Sun Porch and Event Center. Please stop by and enjoy the beauty of this amazing pottery. Mata Ortiz is an area in Northern Mexico that has a rich and deep history, is full of local artists, and not too diferent from the history and art we share here in Tubac. For questions, Paul can be reached at 520 250-3114.
Remember if you live locally and have visitors over the holidays who come and visit you, if you make your reservations for them with the Floating Stone you will get a 10% discount. You can then enjoy the aqua spa for free while they stay with us. See the promo to the right.
If you are on our 30-day water program, remember to drink as much as you can over the holidays. The optimal amount is to divide your weight in half and to drink at least that amount in ounces. More is even better. The water will help with de-stressing and detoxing from all that we over do and eat. Drinking the water continues to give me more energy than I have ever had. if you are unfamiliar with the special ionized water we feature here in our pools and for drinking, be sure to come by and ask our staff. We have literature and are happy to share with you all that it can help with in terms of keeping you well and loaded with good energy.
Sincerely, Linda Ellinor
Owner of The Floating Stone Inn & Aqua Spa

A word from Pati I am very grateful for the foundation that Sissy laid in getting The Floating Stone off the ground. I feel very blessed to be included by Linda in the bigger vision of the Floating Stone. I'm looking forward to meeting you and seeing how we best can be of service to the community and beyond! Kat Strandlie joins the Floating Stone as a Medical Qigong Therapist and will be instructing Aquatic Tai Chi Qi Gong classes starting in January.
