The Floating Stone Inn & Aqua SpaNovember 2011

Greetings!
Linda Ellinor at the pools

Thanksgiving Blessings!

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I am grateful that we have so many great programs and events this month.  And, we are expanding our massage and aqua massage staff.

On the events side of things, we have Terry Hershey, an expert on communications and relationship, giving a one-day seminar on Nov. 5th called Real People, Real Communication.  It was Pati Hope that brought Terry to us, and she will be providing us with her 2nd class in a 5-part series entitled Life Enrichment on Nov.15th.

Next is Bill Drevyanko, speaking on November 17th.  Bill is a top expert on the subject of the special water we provide at the Floating Stone: alkaline/ionzed Water.

On November 18th Reverend Donna Mauer  will speak on "From Fear to Faith".   On Thanksgiving day, Pati Hope is organizing  a scrumptous Thanksgiving Dinner and a Retreat.  Rocky and I plan to attend the dinner.   Make sure you RSVP early. We can seat around 24 people.

On the massage and aqua massage side of things, check out the new yoga and aqua classes.   You'll see me in the new hot yoga class (which isn't Bikram, by the way) and restorative class with Kim Flowers.  We're proud  that our new yoga studio is ready to use.

We welcome Adrianne  Stellzenmuller  as our new Director of Programs. She comes  with a wealth of skills and experience in aqua therapy, massage, hiking, and program development.  Also joining is Carolyn Rashti.  She brings extensive experience in dance and aqua therapy.

I'm featuring  Adrianne, Carolyn, Kim Flowers, and Jennifer Tougas down below.   What will make the Floating Stone of value is the quality of our staff and all  they offer. They are talented and are helping us build the Floating Stone's core themes of Going Beyond Wellness and Wellness through Water.

As we head toward the holidays,  many of you have friends and family that visit.  So we are giving a local's discount on lodging.  Come in and make your reservations for them and we'll give you 10% off on any of our 3 lodging types: Casita Linda, a two-bedroom suite that can sleep up to 6 people, our on-site historic inn rooms, which can sleep up to 4 people, and our off-site casitas which can sleep up to 2.  Another benefit is that you will be able to use our Aqua Spa during their stay.  Imagine soaking in our mineral-rich, chlorine-free pools and sharing some relaxation time with your visitors!!

Notice also our specials:  Pay for 2 nights lodging and get the 3rd free; and our Aqua Massage Getaway: Pay for 2 nights lodging and get a free Aqua Massage for $185/person (based on double occupancy).

Be sure to call Sissy if you are interested in becoming a Friend of the Floating Stone.   This is for anyone wishing to help the Floating Stone grow and expand through a donation of time and service in exchange for spa services. The first meeting is Saturday, November 10th and is listed in our events.

Sincerely, Linda Ellinor

Real People, Real Communication with Terry Hershey

Saturday, November 5th, 9am - 4pm

Come to a one-day retreat with inspirational speaker Terry Hershey on "Real People, Real Communication." Each of us desires relationships that are healthy - with trust, compassion, laughter, honesty and touch. And each of us moves away from the very things we desire. Here's the deal: Intimacy has little to do with the other person. Intimacy begins with me. What does it mean to be real, honest and authentic? What does it mean to practice real communication? Why are we afraid to be real? Terry teaches us - with very practical tools-about a life with real and open communication, built on a foundation of kindness, appreciation, sensitivity, and awareness.
