Greetings ! It's almost Spring in Plumstead Township! We're hopping along quickly with our plans for our visit from the Plumstead Bunny and the annual egg hunt. We've had fun planning it again this year. Our very own event coordinator, Donna Destefano found a vintage recipe for "Egg Stuffing"! The recipe is something worth sharing! Ingredients:- 10,000 eggs
- 1 gazillion heaping scoops of candy and....
- many helping hands in the community!
Directions: Mix together, have fun! Our community programs and events keep evolving! Next month, we welcome a new fitness class to our growing list of programs, Adventure Bootcamp
for women will come to Landis Green Park. Our Discover Plumstead
Initiative is being developed as we speak. Keep up to date on our website as we begin to unveil many areas of Plumstead! We are grateful for the wonderful support from local businesses as well as community members that have helped us get our messages out. We've had a terrific response to our newsletter sponsorship as you can see! One day before our egg-stuffing event, Mike Sodi, a longtime Plumstead resident and the owner of both the Rita's Waterice locations in Doylestown, donated hundreds of coupons to be stuffed in the eggs! In a world that feels so massive at times, it's great to have that small-community feeling her in our township! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Eight days and counting until Spring!
Feel free to forward this email to your neighbors and friends!
We look forward to seeing you at our parks and events. Feel free to stop into one of our meetings!
Sincerely,
|

Okay everybody! Let's go! Shut off the computers and
let's get outside!
Can you feel it? The sun is hot! Can you see it? Pansies,
crocus, daffodils and more are sticking their heads out everywhere! Buds are
popping out on the trees everywhere. It's 6 o'clock and you can still play in
the yard! Can you hear it? The birds are singing and screaming as the snow
melts and food shows up in the streams of water. Harleys are growling down the
road and there are more bicycles on the road than cars in some places.
So, get outside and play. Keep an eye on the website you
found this letter on. This is the eye for this summer's future of joy, fun and
good health in Plumstead and beyond. Becky, Donna, Nick, Mike, Kathy are
working up park programs for everyone. This is going to be one outstanding
summer in the Plumstead Parks and you want to keep an eye on the opportunities.
Meantime, though, I'm shutting my computer off now and
going out to watch the night sky show up in Jennifer Schweizer Park. Maybe I'll
see you there.
Wanishi
Richard
With gratitude,

Park News Landis Park Ice Skating
|
Wow, what a season we had! Cold weather brought us green
flag conditions
almost all winter and the ice was really smooth this
year. If you haven't had a chance to take the kids skating on
our rink, you must try it next winter or if we have another freeze this
year, go for it!
We have tables near the ice to put skates on. We have one
side for hockey and the other for free skate. The pavilion is near
by for snacks and hot chocolate.
Check our website next winter and we will let you know if
the green flag is up.

Plumstead Goes to
Cooperstown |
12-year-olds
to compete for national championship
Plumstead Baseball Association (PBA) - the only sports organization in the township --
has been invited to send its 12-year-old baseball team to Cooperstown, N.Y.,
home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. They will compete in the Cooperstown Dreams
Park Invitational Tournament July 16-22.
The
boys will compete against 95 teams for the national title. They are raising
much of the money they need themselves. But if your business or your family
loves baseball, they would love to have your support.
You
can: - be
a team sponsor (starting at $100)
- come
to Comedy Night at Poco's on March 20 at 7 p.m. - only $20 a person!
- send
your baseball player (age 7-10) to a great clinic the team is hosting this
spring
-
or
buy a car magnet ($6, two for $10) to show your support

Together,
we can help the boys achieve their dream and bring the national title to
Plumstead!
