Ministry Gems
Generosity Gems
Welcome to beginning of Generosity Gems. In the monthly issues to follow, we will focus on a financial stewardship topics of interest and pass along a Generosity Gem that can be incorporated into the life of your congregation. As we partner with churches across the country, we learn from each one what it means to be generous givers in this life of faith. Through Generosity Gems, we desire to share what we've taught, learned and observed.

Each edition will feature one of our Stewardship Directors as they focus on a specific aspect of financial stewardship. Collectively, our Stewardship Directors and Administrators have more than 150 years of church development experiences between them. We specialize in Strategic Planning, Capital Appeals, Leadership Development, and Annual Stewardship Response Programs. We partner with churches, faith-based schools and institutions, and judicatories through a fully managed process. Our foundation is that partnering in financial stewardship is a spiritual journey focusing on the generosity of our Lord and is filled with joy.

Ministry Gems
In 1 Chronicles 29:1-22 we learn the Biblical pattern for receiving an offering. King David and the leaders of the Temple set the example of giving by making their commitments first, in advance of the rest of the Temple families. Leaders of the church lead in a number of ways. Making their financial commitment ahead of the church membership is one way church leaders can lead. This communicates to the congregation that the church leaders support the annual mission and ministry of the church for the coming year, and their commitments set the tone for the annual appeal.
