Leadership Institute reconvened in January for second Act 45 seminar

 

Noted educator and author, Jay McTighe again headlined The Consortium's Leadership Institute in January, reprising a September seminar where nearly 50 district and school administrators learned his principles of "backward design." TFIM holds mid-year debriefing; kicks off Conference planning

 

Team leaders and advisors from The Consortium's career exploration program for high school students, The Future Is Mine (TFIM), our career exploration program, in December held their mid-year debriefing on projects and began planning their annual Student Leadership Conference. Consortium assists Youth Media Advocacy Project in Wilkinsburg 

 

The Consortium is collaborating with the Youth Media Advocacy Project (YMAP) to help students at Wilkinsburg High School celebrate their community's 125th anniversary with a video featuring citizens and leaders whose work is having an impact. To learn more about the collaboration, click YMAP.

 

Forum teams preview eMAPSTM

 

Teams participating in The Consortium's Forum for Collaborative Leadership will meet in early February to recap key concepts for personalizing learning in their schools. In December, the teams previewed  eMAPSTM a digital tool The Consortium is developing with Hifade LLC to help students build portfolios of achievements and analyze progress across four domains of learning.
