Annual Leadership Retreat focuses on new models for teaching and learning 

 

From workshops challenging educators to rethink the traits they encourage in students, to a keynote speaker who called for revamped curricula and a retooled teaching model, The Consortium for Public Education's annual Leadership Retreat framed a case for making education far more personal. Student Documentary Project in the making

Documentary project empowers students; builds civic engagement

 

A Student Documentary Project that The Consortium for Public Education began piloting in April is showing how inquiry-based learning can help engage youth with civic issues. More than a dozen students from disparate communities and backgrounds worked in teams to examine the state budget from different perspectives.
