My children's book in case you missed it. NIMBUS
You can read it all on the Facebook link. Just click the image of the book and it will open so you can read it, and choose the expanded full screen size with the button in the lower right to expand it full size which makes it easy to read.

Think I will start off with a video clip of artwork you probably have seen in the past on one of these newsletters, but the arrangement came out sort of neat so thought I would share.
Fun Easy Art Video Link
Did you like that? Why don't you try to make one of those videos yourself. They are fun way to share your art or photos with others. Give it a try I think you will like it. Here is the link to do that.

Thought I would give a shout out to Bonita Williams again. She sent me another card and with such a sweet note...
"John Thank you so much for using my card in your news letter. It was so exciting to see it there. I didn't start painting till I was 70 and only started the encaustic art after I was 80. So now that I'm closing in on 90 you can imagine how thrilled I am. It was just the greatest to see my card there. Thanks you again.... Bonita Williams...."
Bonita's card
(I liked her message to me on the phone that she was ironing her way to heaven.) So there is the joy in teaching this art form. There is a warm fuzzy one gets when you get this kind of feedback from students.
For that reason I would toss it out to you to consider teaching encaustics to others. It certainly has brought happiness on many levels to me. Children love it and so do folks of all ages. As you know it puts you in a very deep meditative state very quickly as you watch the wax melt and flow into all of those wonderful patterns.
If I developed a method to support you in that would you be interested? Let me know and I will go to work on that.
Actually had a great call from Elsie Campbell from Canada today and we chatted about her starting to teach wax painting and all the things that can come up around this effort. In the process she sent me some of her images and wanted to post them here for you. I love o support anyone that is stepping up to teach.... Actually you will become a better painter by doing just that.

I have actually spent untold hours on the computer this month trying to learn how to create just such a project of information sharing... Beginning to think I could use a younger brain. I am a bit stubborn so I will keep at it and also keep you posted on progress.
So thought I would give you an update on the Cellophane project of the small encaustic blocks made for the cigarette machine art-o-matic program. I was pleased that many have sold at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. Now as I mentioned they are a lot of work with very little dollar return. But it is a way to dropping a bit of beauty all over the place and how do you put a price on that. The Nimbus effect!
So mentioning that I got a note saying they neede

I just started another project that I have to share with you. I want to develop apps for Iphones and here is one I made for myself that you can actually share with anyone and spread the wax painting word.
My wax painting app
If you want an iphone app for yourself I will do it for $45.00, just email me. That should do it for this month,,,,
This video is over an hour long
and I hope it will give you good information
in one chunk instead of in bits an pieces.
I did it on a very small table to
show that this can be done anywhere, small apartment, to an RV. You do
not have to have a studio. Here is the link for the video. The sound can be
controlled on both the video and your computer.
