John
Dear Encaustic Painter,

I am still having fun taking classes and this time I am doing a series called Spring Forest Qigong and all these class experiences show up in my wax painting experience. I have been spending most of my painting time on the large A2 size stock and working with a large griddle.   Check below for my new class schedule. I will be doing one a month for the next 4 month and then I will be off to the sun.

Here are the results of this cycle.  I call this one Koi.
                 Divine Double

                 East Coast
An abstract with hints of the garden.

                 doubles
Here is a collage idea that was fun to put together.
            Lilly Pond

And a lily pond concept I took from an image I saw.

                   garden bouquet
A bouquet of flowers was done over a background that was wiped off and started over. Another similar theme below.

                  new growth

This one below I called hope returning.

                 Hope Returning
Another intense abstract with some Kleenex dabbing.

                 blue lines

This one has one ply of Kleenex in the wax and then more wax on top.

                 Golden Garden

                 Southwest

                 trees 4

A murder of crows to begin to close it off for the month. Most of these are 17 x 24 inches in size so it was a busy month of painting...

                crows

        And One last one called,
                      Saturday Flower Market Booth.

Get out those irons and melt some wax.
