Who are Clients turning to for Advice? | In the past money management was simpler than today. The rules have changed with an increased global focus, complex products, higher debt levels and ever increasing lifestyle expectations.
Compounding this is the fact Australian's have amongst the longest life expectancies in the world and consequently need to plan for a potentially lengthy retirement.
Arguably the most important determinant of long term financial success is not picking Fund A over Fund B, or working in a high paying job - it is financial discipline.
People need to ensure they manage their finances in a manner that keeps them living within their means, managing their debt, maintaining liquidity for both planned and unplanned future expenses and capturing surplus income to and build retirement capital.
The question is where does one turn for assistance?
One party who is very suitably placed to provide such assistance is referred to as the "Mortgage Planner".

Mortgage Planning Feedback | They're only finishing Day 2 of the first Advanced Course in Mortgage Planning but the participants are already RAVING about it!
"The Mortgage Planning course has surpassed my expectations. It is very thorough, well structured and informative." Joseph Hart "Lots of great practical information delivered in a realistic easy to understand way." Marc Adam "Excellent content, well groomed and informative speakers. The information is very pertinent to the mortgage industry. This teaching should be given to all mortgage brokers." Denis Hill
"Practical course teaching new ways of diversifying our business. What we have learned from this course will assist our clients in planning for their future." Trent Bartel "Andrews first hand experience in the industry shows through in the delivery of the course content. His explanations and script used to describe loan structures highlights the fact as experienced brokers, we need to revise our own pitch to clients to ensure the information we are giving our clients match their understanding so they can see the benefits we are trying to achieve for them.
The mortgage planning service is a welcomed addition to our practice and the need will be enhanced by the introduction of responsible lending under the new regulations." Tammy Reid
Courses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth & Adelaide are all scheduled for next month.

KOKODA Challenge | What an absolutely sensational event this turned out to be, and thank you to all those who supported us in raising funds for the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program.
Team Intellitrain had a fantastic experience completing what proved to be a very challenging 96km in a time of 21h30m - putting us in the top 15% of finishers.
Right up to about 10 kms out we were running the flats, hiking the hills and well within our target time of sub-20 hours....but oh that last 10kms!
The team remained strong mentally, and cardio fitness proved no problem, but at 86kms my knees and hips decided they were done so it was a painful plod to the finish, only two makeshift walking sticks enabling me to stay on my feet (would have killed lesser men ;).
Who's up for next year? Sub 19 hours is the goal. | |
