Knights in Shining Armor
How cool is this! At Mo's we frame beautiful things everyday, but once in a while we get a project that is so awesome (or weird) that we have to show it to every one we can. We were fortunate enough to create an elegant display for these antique silver knights. I think their owner, Sally, got more than she bargained for when she brought them in for a minor repair. However, upon receiving the finished product, Sally was thrilled with the custom display box we created. She graciously sent us an email with the following testimonial.
"To the staff of Mo's Gallery: I took a very historical set of antique silver/ivory armored knights into Mo's to get some ideas on how to "restore & clean/as well as create a presentation for this incredibly stunning set of art (that I was so fortunate to inherit from 2 generations from my mother's side of our family).....The entire staff of Mo's took an immediate interest & mutual recognition & appreciation of such an unusual & special piece of work, and of my desires of what I wanted to do for the care and preservation of this work of art..Together,we discussed and ran ideas/ suggestions and thoughts by each other...The final product of the work/time and care they put into this project has been overwhelming,if not extremely touching..I could not have hoped for a more respectable restoration for my piece,or for a better staff who cared about the quality of what I hoped for in the restoration, but giving me, the customer, the respect of my wishes with the best of quality care!!!"

An appendix from Mo
As some of you may know, Mo had appendix surgery last Thursday night. He is on the mend and doing well. He is also driving us all crazy, but does that surprise anyone? Mo has been forbidden to do anything strenuous for the next month and is supposed "take it easy". Right. Mo doesn't sit still well. So for the next month Oscar, Pete and myself have the add job of making sure he behaves.
I know Mo would be more than happy to visit with you and tell you the whole story and show off his pictures. Yes, pictures. Be thankful that Mo is NOT in charge of writing these emails or you would being seeing his appendix like it or not. For goodness sake, he is threatening to FRAME the darn things! (the photos, not the appendix...I think that would violate health code)
On a serious note though, we do appreciate all of the well wishes and concern. If you want to send Mo a note click here. |
