Dear Wamogo Families and Friends,
Course registration will take place at school this Wednesday, February 15th. Please review the Program of Studies with your child prior to the 15th. There are new courses in History, Math, Science and electives. The Program of Studies can be found on-line on the home page of the Wamogo website. Students will have the opportunity to meet with their teachers to discuss which classes best meet their academic needs. If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to call our guidance department. Your child's school counselor will be glad to assist you.
Also, please remind your children that tickets are available in the cafeteria during lunch blocks for the Snowball Semi-formal Dinner
Dance to be held on February 17 here at Wamogo! Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. We hope all of our student body can attend. This is an exciting event for Wamogo and we hope that you encourage your children to attend.
Reminder, there WILL be school this Friday, February 17. This was previously a day off for students, but that changed with our October weather. Please be aware that the CMT and CAPT take place during the month of March. Testing dates will be March 5th through March 16th. A schedule and letter will be available on-line.
Please make sure that your child gets an appropriate amount of rest and that they have a healthy breakfast, especially during testing periods. As always, a breakfast program will be available for purchase to start the day. We have spread the testing window over two weeks for your child to focus only on one test per day. Take a look at the Robotics web page. The cooperative between Litchfield and Wamogo has been hard at work and this has been a wonderful opportunity for our students. I encourage all students to consider joining the Robotics team in the future. Don't forget to check out our links. There are many blogs and activities that highlight the work at Wamogo. Also, please feel free to follow me on Twitter. I am @wprincipal and welcome all followers.
Wishing you the best,
Bill Egan
