The Arts Center on 7, Minnetonka High School  
Minnetonka High School is located just west of Hwy 101 on the south side of Hwy 7. The Arts Center is attached to the high school on the far northeast end of the building (door number 3N). If you are coming in the main parking lot entrance to the school take a left to get to the Arts Center entrance.

  • Please check your dancer in at least 30 minutes prior to the 10:30 show or by 3:00 p.m. for the 4:00 p.m. show.
  • Make-up is optional for recreational dancers. We suggest at least a lip color to make your dancer's smile "pop" on stage. You may use as much or as little make-up as you wish for your recreational dancer. 
  • Please label all of your dancer's belongings. Each recreational dressing room will have approx 100 dancers. Help us keep your dancers' costume pieces and shoes organized by labeling them.
  • Dancers stay backstage for the full show. Please return to pick up your dancer after the finale and bow. The only exception to this rule is for the Saturday Creative Movement class and the Thursday a.m. 2-4 year old class (if your dancer is in either of these classes, you will receive further instructions at this week's class regarding pick up).  
  • Only females are allowed in the female dressing room. Make sure that you send a mom, grandma or sister to drop off and retrieve your dancer from the dressing room.
  • All classes are assigned assistants to help with shoe and costume changes and to help entertain young dancers during the show. It is our goal to let parents enjoy the show from the auditorium. If you prefer to be backstage for the duration of the show to help, please email us so that we can add you to our volunteer list.

Dancers should be ready to dance at least 30 minutes prior


to their first scheduled routine. Dancers are free to leave once all their dances have rehearsed. Please come in full costume with proper dance shoes (make sure that your dancer has the correct shoes in the correct color). Hair and make-up are optional on rehearsal day. If your dancer has a costume change, the orchestra room will be available for a dressing room. Please supervise your dancer in the orchestra room on rehearsal day. 

 

Only one parent/guardian may accompany your dancer during our June 3rd rehearsals.

We want to make sure that the auditorium is quiet and not crowded to keep our rehearsal running quickly and smoothly. Food and drink is not allowed in the auditorium. If you are staying over the dinner hour, please eat in the lobby. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

Cameras of all types are welcome at dress rehearsal. Feel free to invite additional family members or friends to the awards ceremony (seating is first come, first serve).

 

All recreational classes will continue through Thursday, June 2. There ARE classes on Saturday, May 28. There are NO classes on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.

Recital Tickets  

 

Our 10:30 show is nearly sold out. At this time we have suspended online ticket sales for this show. Any further ticket sales for this show will happen through the studio. We have reserved two tickets for each of the 10 recreational families who have yet to purchase tickets. If you are interested in purchasing more than two tickets, please let us know.   

 

Do you have extra tickets?


If you ended up with an extra seat or two, you may sell them back to the studio anytime (even on recital day).  Also, we are happy to refund tickets for any moms interested in experiencing the show from backstage. We will make sure you can watch your dancer from the wings or the back of the house if you are interested in joining the backstage fun! 

 

Tickets are still available for the 4:00 p.m. show. You may purchase 4:00 p.m. show tickets via Brown Paper Tickets through 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 1. After that point, tickets will only be available at the venue on recital day. All tickets are reserved seating and first come, first serve.

Recital Ticket Discounts 

Multiple Show Discount
Are you attending more than one show? If so, take advantage of our second show discount. Your second set of tickets for the same attendee(s) are half off. Use the password "Second Show" upon purchasing ticket to receive this discount.

Volunteer Tickets
All recital day volunteers get a free ticket to a show that they are not working. Once you have signed up on the volunteer list in the lobby, we will contact you with the password to receive your free ticket. If you purchased your ticket without the volunteer code, let Karla know and she will credit your studio account.

Student rush tickets
This is for the 4:00 p.m. show only. All 4:00 show dancers will receive student rush ticket vouchers this week prior to the recital to distribute to her/his friends. Vouchers can be used for a discount on tickets at the door ($6 - this rate includes tax).

Vouchers are for students only and and only apply to tickets remaining 30 minutes before showtime.

The dancer who has the most friends use rush ticket vouchers on recital day will receive a $50 credit to her/his studio account to be used for future classes/camps.

 

Your account must be current for your dancer to participate in our spring recitals.
