All-Studio Awards Ceremony
7:00-8:00

Company Finale Run through
(competition dancers only)
8:00-9:00

Dancers should be ready to dance at least 30 minutes prior to their first scheduled routine. Dancers are finished once all their dances have rehearsed. Please come in full costume with shoes. Hair and make-up are optional on rehearsal day.

All recreational classes will continue through Thursday, June 2. Company classes run through Thursday, May 19. Check the company calendar for company recital and finale rehearsals.

  Recital Day Details
  • Please check your dancer in at least 30 minutes prior to showtime for the 10:30 a.m. show (all dancers) and one hour prior for the 4:00 p.m. show (company dancers only). 10-14 year old classes' recital assignment is TBD.
  • Make-up is optional for recreational dancers. We suggest at least a lip color to make your dancer's smile "pop" on stage. You may use as much or as little make-up as you wish for your recreational dancer.
  • Please label all of your dancer's belongings. Dressing rooms have 50-100 dancers each. Help us keep your dancers' costume pieces and shoes organized by labeling them.
  • All dancers stay backstage for the full show. Please return to pick up your dancer after the finale and bow. The ONLY exception is for Kyle's 2-4 year old Thursday class and Kyle's Saturday morning Creative Movement class (10:00-10:30 a.m.). Dancers from these two classes may leave at intermission and are welcome to sit with parents during the second half of the show. If they need their own seat, please order a free "under 5" ticket for them. If they are interested in bowing, we will give you more information on when to come backstage closer to recital day.
  • Only females are allowed in the female dressing room. Make sure that you send a mom, grandma or sister to drop off and retrieve your dancer in the dressing room.
  • All classes are assigned assistants to help with shoe and costume changes and to help entertain young dancers during the show. It is our goal to let the parents enjoy the show from your seat in the auditorium. If you prefer to be backstage for the duration of the show to help, you may sign up on our volunteer list.

Recital Tickets

Recital tickets are now available. All tickets are reserved seating and first come, first serve. We will not sell any tickets at the studio in order to put our full attention into preparing your dancer for the recital. Student ticket rate is for ages 6 through college.

Our 10:30 show is nearly sold out. In order to open up more seating, we are looking into switching our 10-14 year old classes over to the 4:00 show.

Thank you for your patience as we work to find the best solution to our wonderfully overwhelming response to this year's recital tickets. We will do everything we can to make sure that all families are able to get tickets.

If you have any questions or trouble getting tickets, please email Karla at info@dancexchange.org. She is ready and happy to help.
