"It is capituation, not compromise to begin the casino approval process by setting up the required regulatory apparatus," said Jim Rubens, GSCAEG chair. "Such a deal is tantamount to voting yes on slots casinos."
GSCAEG firmly opposes this move.
"While the Governor's Commission found state regulation of existing gambling to be weak and in need of study and improvement, there is no reason to support even a study of casino regulation unless one is a slot casino supporter," said Jim Rubens, GSCAEG chair. |
