Unlacing The Innocent Miss by Margaret McPhee

Book Summary

Hardened thief-taker "Wolf" Wolversley has clawed his way out of the gutter to get where he is. No stranger to society's underbelly, he's met Rosalind Meadowfield's seemingly sweet type before.

Accused of a crime she didn't commit, fearful Rosalind begs Wolf not to turn her in. But Rosalind's fear soon turns to desire as the bitterness in Wolf's eyes turns to passion.... His touch is gentle for so fierce a man. Rosalind should be mortified by her wantonness. Instead, it's as if something else has taken over her body....

Wildfire would like to welcome author LB Gregg.

LB Gregg

Julie: Welcome, LB. First off, tell us a little about yourself and how you got started writing. When did you first know you wanted to write for a living?

LB: As a life long reader, I always dreamed that someday I'd write a book-who doesn't secretly want to write? But I didn't start until nearly three years ago. I blogged for six months, and then my online friends, whom I blame for everything, encouraged me to write my own stories. I was lucky to have pals mentor me. Three months later, Gobsmacked was born.

Julie: What is your writing process? Do you outline, fly by the seat of your pants or a combination of both?

LB: A combination of both. I spend a lot of time daydreaming and jotting ideas in notebooks (which I lose)-and then I start. I work on my outline at the same time I work on my word count. It's a lot of trial and error and intuition, but eventually, everything comes together. It's sort of like magic, if magic could be defined as a combination of grit, determination, and a willingness to fall on your face in public. *g*

Julie: Give us a sneak peek into the writing life of LB and tell us about one strange writing ritual you have.

LB: I make coffee. I stare at the screen. I surf the internet. It takes me a while to warm up-once I'm 'warmed' I write without pause. And when I really get cracking, I wear my sage green sweater because it's lucky.

Julie: What did you do before you became a writer? Do you write full time?

LB: I'm a mom. I've had so many 'jobs' outside the home, but ultimately I think of myself as Mrs. So-and-so's Mom, the writer.

Julie: I know you're not supposed to show favoritism but who's been your favorite character to write?

LB: Caesar Romano. He's easy. He's fun. He operates under specific rules and he's constantly breaking those rules. His voice just flows out of me. Thematically I try to write about family and community, often using those ideas as characters themselves, and Caesar's narrative voice embodies my own deep respect for the bonds that tie us to place and people.

Julie: What do you do when you aren't writing? Any hobbies or special interests that you can tell us about?

LB: I travel often. My husband's job takes him all over the globe and when I can, I hitch a ride with him. I spend time with my kids. I'm a Patriots fan and watch a lot of football. In winter, I am passionate about skiing, although I don't get out there as often as I'd like.

Julie: If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why?

LB: Date? Well, I'd love to ride shotgun with Ranger from Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. **fans self**

Julie: What's next for you?

LB: The third Romano and Albright and I'm working on a surprise Valentine story, but that's all hush-hush. I'm also writing a fairy tale. I suspect that's it for next year!

sizzleAlien Intimacy by Fiona McGier
4 flame- Stories have frequent love scenes that are explicit and described using graphic and direct language.

"Why are you doing this?"  she asked dreamily.  "And why to me?"

He smiled as he ran his hands over her naked body, fondling, caressing, arousing every skin cell.  She gasped as he palmed one breast, and rubbed the nipple on the other one between two of his fingers.

Had she not been so numbed by the strange odor that permeated the room, she might have been disturbed by his alien appearance: the green tinge to the skin, the six fingers on each hand, the enlarged head on the skinny, hairless, but obviously masculine, naked body.

"Because my instruments indicate you will be fertile for the next two hours, and you are to bear my child."

"But why do it this way?  Why not more...scientifically?"

He smiled as his touch became more insistent.  He rubbed her sensitive clit, beginning to gently probe her with his long fingers.

"Because, my love, our two species are not only genetically-compatible, but sexually-compatible as well.  And every so often, when I get a chance to visit your Earth, I get the urge to re-experience your uniquely smooth skin...you humans are so warm and responsive!"

He chuckled softly as she began to moan and writhe.

"Who are you?"  She managed to gasp.

"My name is unimportant...you would have difficulty pronouncing it.  We are Travelers.  We have spent thousands of your years visiting the farthest reaches of the universe, watching species mature, cultures spring to life to thrive and grow, then wither and die.  Sometimes we interfere when a particular species appears promising, but too violent to do more than destroy itself.  Many years ago we felt that to be the case on your planet.  As we have done before on other planets, we altered the DNA of your dominant species just enough, to give evolution a boost.  You are 99% of your planet, but 1% of ours.  And we revisit often, to observe how far you have come, and to see how far you still have to go."

"But why?  What do you want from us?"

She tried to clear her mind enough to concentrate, but the determined stroking and poking actions of his body were causing urgent reactions in hers...she had to fight not to give in to the pleasure.  He was between her legs now, and his probing fingers were replaced with his male organ, surprisingly not as thin as his elongated fingers would have led her to expect.

"To experience life as you do, of course!"

His breathing was labored, but he seemed capable of continuing to speak, even as his body urged hers to succumb to him.

"When you live for eons, you seek experiences beyond your own.  Yet even we can only know our own inner minds.  When we join with other species with whom we have created compatibility, we can produce hybrids...beings who can share with us, on a level you can't understand, what it means to be truly one of your species.  The child we are creating now will be one of those special combinations, who can help your people evolve along the path to self-knowledge, and away from the self-destructive ignorance that is such a large part of your bestial heritage.  And we shall gain the vicarious experience of being human.  Not a bad trade, eh?"

She tried to answer, but at that moment, she felt a second intrusion into her body, as if the alien being now ramming himself into her body had not one but two penises.  She gasped as she felt it push into her tighter hole, made even tighter by the size of the engorged alien cock already pushing itself against her cervix, as if it was knocking on the door and seeking entry.

Now firmly implanted in her body twice over, the male's face became as determined as any man's she had ever been with.  She felt a fleeting moment of amusement at the idea that males were the same all over the universe!  Once they get into a pussy, they have only one goal.  Suddenly his face contorted as he made noises she could only assume were growls, and he pulled her hips up off of the bed, to hold her half-suspended in mid-air as he pumped seed into her in both of her holes.

His come was hot as it blasted into her in both places...it tipped her over the edge, and she screamed with the force of her orgasms, her consciousness shattered into tiny pieces from the mind-blowing pleasure more intense than anything she had ever felt or even imagined.

When she became aware of herself again, she realized that he had collapsed on top of her, and they were both incapable of movement until his limbs stopped twitching.

Finally, with a sigh, he rolled to one side and smiled at her, the look of self-satisfaction also apparently strikingly universal among males of any species.

     She remembered her original question.

     "Why me?"

He laughed, a low, throaty sound, as he caressed her sweat-shiny face.

"Because I have watched you and know you respect all life.  You are not afraid of me...merely curious.  Our child will look only like you, but no one will think it odd.  You and your husband will raise it along with your other children, teaching it to respect the planet you live on, to revere all life as a part of an infinitely-related circle that includes not just all life on your planet, but in the rest of the universe as well.  You will be good parents for this child of ours.  And in return, you will also learn much."

He jumped, startled by a noise that she dimly recognized as one of her children stirring in sleep, in the next room.

"I must go now.  My time with you is over."

"Will I remember you?  This...this episode of inter-galactic passion?"

     He smiled wistfully at her.

"Possibly.  You may remember it as a dream.  But if you do know me beyond this moment, remember that I loved you.  I chose you because I love your human beauty, body and soul, and I wanted to share this moment with you as we enhanced the circle of life.  For all of this, I thank you."

He caressed her face with his long fingers, and placed one last gentle kiss on her lips.

"And I will never forget you.  Good-bye, my love."

The momentary brightness once again shocked her enlarged pupils, and she turned her head for a moment; long enough for him to be gone when she looked back.  He had left as quickly as he had arrived.

She was surprised to feel so completely satisfied, so sleepy, so content to roll over, hug her husband's pillow, and drift off to sleep.

Her last conscious thought was, "Harry will be back home tomorrow night.  He'll be so thrilled that I'm going to be pregnant again!  I love having babies..."

Fiona has always had stories in her head, with characters telling her about their lives. She really enjoys letting them guide her typing. Now that her four children are young adults she hides from everyone for hours, letting the stories come to life. She hopes that you enjoy your short trip into her mind as you meet the heroines and heroes who live there.
