This is going to be a wonderful dinner!! Please join us.

Our meeting is at the Tulalip Casino. Come join us for some historic native culture, and a great tasting Northwest themed dinner. Executive Chef Perry Mascitti and his staff are excited about preparing our dinner. We are going to have a 5-course dinner to include, appetizers by the indoor pool, other courses will include the freshest Northwest seafood and succulent local lamb. Want to Help our Chapter?

 
June is going to be an exciting month for our chapter. June 3rd and 4th we are holding our 3rd annual educational fundraiser at Renton Technical College. We are preparing 6,400 box lunches for our local Special Olympics participants. We start at 2:00 PM each day and dinner will be provided for all volunteers. Come and join us for a great cause. Contact our event manager Nancy Beauchamp.

On June 19th we are having a Culinary Salon Competition at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Tukwila. Click hereto see our flyer.

Last Monthly Meeting - May 2010

Our May meeting at Providence Health & Services in Renton was a great meeting. Chairman of the Board Brian Date CEC presented an informative educational seminar on Pork 101; very informative and plenty of samples. Resident Chef Sharlene Greendyk prepared some tasty appetizers for our members; thank you Sharlene for hosting the May meeting. Also in the May meeting we inducted two new members; congratulations to Shawn Ferguson and Casey Miles.

NEW 2010 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Are you a culinary student? Looking for some green?

During our May meeting we presented our 1st annual Evelyn Enslow scholarship for $1,000.00 to South Seattle Community College student Mark Delos Reyes. Mark plans on completing culinary and pastry degrees and then his Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Management at SSCC, congratulation Mark.
 
Our local America Academy of Chefs and our ACF Washington State Chapter student scholarship applications are available online and are due July 1, 2010. Our scholarship applications will be reviewed by our chapter's trustees and the next scholarship, the Joseph Sir Scholarship, will be awarded at the September 13th meeting.
