Letterhead
Dear Clients and Friends of Intuition,
In response to requests for information about  how to develop your own intution,  I'll be sharing what I hope will be useful to you on your journey to greater knowing, good health, and a light spirit. (I'll also include intuited health-related tips and the end of each newsletter.)

If you deeply wish to trust your capacity for knowing, there are several principles I hold dear:  1. Intuition is different from feelings;  2.  To receive clear communication we must have retrieved the parts of ourselves we misplaced before we began  to value our own wisdom;  3) The truth always comes from a still, unruffled, and neutral place - a place without opinions, desires, or preconceptions.

Feelings, as distinguished from intuition, are often reactions to our own wounding.  They may be important signs on the path to healing, but they will nearly always lead us astray when the goal is discernment  in intuition. A state of heightened feeling works against our intuitive abilities.

The parts of ourselves that we need to retrieve were often lost in childhood.  Most people remember that as children they simply "knew"  truths about their families or themselves that had to go unspoken.  Later in our lives, our work is to bring those truths into the light  and heal the wounds inflicted when we split ourselves off from what we knew to be true. We need to be able to trust ourselves again.  In cultures  more emotionally truthful than ours, the splitting off doesn't occur.  LIke hearing or sight, intuition is simply one of the senses they rely on to know the world.

Success in honing your intuition will always be limited when there are parts of you still hiding, still skulking in the shadows as they did in childhood for fear that they are unworthy or may disturb the "peace."  Everything about yourself must be known to you and accepted, warts and all. Especially the warts. Because they're the least attractive parts of us and the greatest challenge to ourselves and others, they're the greatest assistance to our growth.

Ask to know what makes you feel peaceful, because it's essential to living by intuition.  Avoid turmoil and people who court turmoil, because turmoil is weakening.  If you have a decision to make, even a simple one,  consider this:  Of the options presently open to you, which one brings you  the greatest peace?  The answer will automatically exclude ego gratification, may not lead to greater financial abundance, and may call on you to question relationships with friends, family members, a co-workers. But you will be living in harmony with yourself,  and nothing is more important than that to the seeker after clear knowing.

Notes from medical intuition:

Seven years ago I intuited information regarding the dangers of sunscreen--that it actually increases our vulnerability to cancer rather than protecting against it. I've been passing along that information ever since. I know it's been a hard concept to embrace, and it's no wonder when you consider the avalanche of information to the contrary. Spring and summer are on the way and soon we'll be exhorted to get out the sunscreen. But before you do, you may want to read the following article, because more conventional ways of knowing are catching up.

Blessings and good health to you all,
