Greetings!

This is one of my favorite quotes about Evangelism that we share in the Basic Evangelism Training Seminar. It reminds me that we need to be constantly learning about ways to share the Gospel to win the lost for Christ.

Recently, I was discussing with some friends that go witnessing with us about resources that are available for ongoing training. I'd like to recommend a few of those resources here. You might like to check them out.

There are a couple of new updates on the Bezeugen BLOG. One is my analysis of Barna's article on whether American's Change Faith. The second is an interesting observation about public verses private property.

The "As You Go" BLOG has several new updates. I pray these are encouraging to you and provide you some new ideas for your daily witnessing.  Be sure to check the As You Go BLOG periodically for additional witnessing tips for your daily use.

Ambassadors Academy Webinar
The Living Waters Ambassadors Academy wraps up its third season next week. The training on Thursday, August 26th will be available for FREE via Ustream. This will be an excellent opportunity to receive this training. You may access the webinar here. On Saturday night, August 28th, we will take a team witnessing at the Texas Rangers game in Arlington, TX. We may try to schedule other outreach opportunities in conjunction with this webinar. If there is interest, please let me know.

Texas Revival Series
The Lost Cause Ministries is presenting the 3rd Texas Revival Series on October 9th in Allen, TX from 1-8PM. The keynote speaker will be Tony Miano, Director of the Living Waters Ambassadors Academy. The theme is preaching the excellencies of Christ. Bezeugen Ministries will have a table setup giving away a new tract for sharing the "excellencies of Christ". The tract will also be in the November tract club mailing. Come to the conference and get some before everyone else! Registration is free on the web site.

If you are coming to Dallas for this event, please consider joining us for an outreach at the Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday. We are developing a Dallas Cowboys Trivia Tract to hand out there!

Super Bowl Outreach
Super Bowl Outreach
The NFL players and teams are headed to training camp. And we are gearing up for the end of the season already. Please pray about joining us for the Super Bowl Outreach. The dates are February 3-6th, 2011. Registration is now open. Three nights accommodation at Camp Copass in Denton, TX is included for just $199. Bezeugen is a partner with Sports Fans Outreach and will be an exhibitor at the event as well.

September Tract Club Mailing
Many people are reporting that they have already received the September tract club mailing. Enjoy the new tracts. We have an event on Facebook to challenge everyone to hand out a tract every day. Please RSVP for the event!

Who do you know that would like to join you in handing out tracts. Please refer them to the Bezeugen Tract Club.

A new Map is under development
We are working on an updated map of our tract club members. The new map will be organized by zip code and list the first names of the members in that zip code. We will optionally provide a link to your email address so that people can contact you. We will control whose email address is linked by a setting in the Constant Contact database. Here is what you need to do if you want your email address listed:

1) go to www.bezeugen.org
2) scroll down on the right to the sign up for Bezeugen Blast form and enter your email address that you used to subscribe
3) click submit, then enter your email address again to confirm
4) check your email
5) click the update your profile link in the email from Constant Contact
6) in the form, go to the field that says "Email on map" and type "YES"
7) while you are in there, would you please enter your mailing address? We'd soon like to generate the tract club distribution list off of this database so that you can maintain your contact information yourself.
8) on the left hand side you can subscribe to other mailing lists if you like
9) scroll to the bottom and click the "update profile" button

We will check this database periodically and add your email address to the map if you have put yes in the designated field. If you do nothing, we will not put your email address on the map.


Need more tracts? 
Do you need extra tracts for your summer vacation travel plans? Marv at One Million Tracts is offering to print any of our tracts for you. He is offering 250, 500 or 1000 of our tracts for $15, $20 and $30 respectively. Please see the announcement on the BLOG for details. Many thanks for Marv for providing this service. If you are going to St Louis, you might consider ordering our "Gateway to the West" tract. If you are going to Niagara Falls, you might ask Marv about his tract for that!

What if you can't go to the door?

One obstacle to door to door ministry that we have realized is that in some cases you can not go to the door. For example, many apartment complexes do not allow "handbills" and therefore you can't distribute door hangars there. In many of those cases you could not carry out a door to door ministry. After much prayer, we have decided to make a post card version of the door hangar and then mail the post cards to these types of locations. It should be easy enough to generate an address list by going on a prayer walk around the complex and writing down the apartment numbers and then making mailing labels for "Resident, Apartment X, address..."

Please let me know if you would be interested in this resource. We will be working on getting this made and let you know when they are available for your use.

If you'd still like to get 100 door hangars to get started with your door to door outreach in your neighborhood then please let me know. Please note - we go to the post office on Thursday, so respond today if you want them within the next week!

Witnessing Events
and Calendar

We now have a separate mailing list for the complete list of witnessing events. If you are interested in receiving this email with the complete list of events so that you can participate in the events or provide prayer support, then please send me an email and I will add you to that distribution. A partial list of witnessing events is provided here.
