Well, just as the trip with the videographers and cameras and equipment got started, Moses fell ill.  He was hit with a major outbreak of Malaria and Typhoid fever.  He was rushed to a hospital in Kampela (his home town) and I didn't know about it for several days.  I thought he had gone on the trip.  When we found out Moses' circumstances, we raised about $700 to pay for his hospitalizations and drugs (seems, he may not have gotten the drugs paid for.  What a country).  I finally got in email contact with Moses through his brother Arthur.  Arthur is a senior in high school and was not a Christian.  Arthur was very impressed with the Christian response in America toward his brother.  In fact, Arthur was saved as a result of what he saw.  Now, Arthur plans to go with Moses as his Timothy to Mose' Paul when he graduates.

Moses appeared to improve after a week or so.  Then he took a turn for the worse.  The family needed to put him into a different hospital where he could receive the actual care and drugs paid for.  But...the cost was a major factor and the family needed more money.  You need to know that Moses receives $100 per month as his full support and as the oldest son and with a family with an absent father, Moses was also responsible for much of the care of his family.

By the grace of God and your continued help and support, we were able to raise about $900 for Moses' hospitalization and home help. 

I was not able to get an email through nor a phone call to Moses or Arthur for several weeks.  Finally, last week, I managed to talk with Moses on the phone.  He was still obviously very ill.  He had been close to death.  But, he was improved and managed to get to an Internet Cafe and send an email.  However that excursion caused a setback.  I asked Moses to put together a diary of his illness and send it to me.  I intend this to be a part of our fund raising and will incorporate it into a Grace Notes Newsletter so that you can read it also.
