Well I traveled to a recently new district in the Eastern Part of Uganda. It lies on the slopes of Mt. Elgon on the Uganda-Kenya Boarder. Mt Elgon is the Fourth Highest Mountain In Eastern Africa and is and extinct volcano which erupted more than 24million years ago. Some weeks ago the spirit of God spoke to me about taking the Gospel of truth and salvation in this place and to remind you, this area was terribly hit by heavy rain that brought about a mudslide claiming more than 300 lives of people and others unaccounted. Over 5,000 homes were destroyed, in three villages of Nametsi, Kbehwo and Namashet in Manjiya County, of the same District. Acres of crops, goats, cattle ad chickens were buried under the sea of thick soil. By the time I arrived in this place I was not so much sure of my safety, place to sleep, I was somehow worried about my health because the weather was very bad and above all, how and where the Door to Door Ministry was to begin. Every person who visited these disaster struck areas was expected of something and am talking about items, cloths food, shelter e.t.c. I had Nothing and I became Nervous over what I would say, every where you could here people crying over their Dead ones, others still looking and digging in heavy heaps of muddy for their beloved ones. The place was full of Grief, and the blanket of Unsure Hope filled the air. , How was I to begin, the next day.

My first stop was a home who lost almost the entire family, and when I arrived every one looked at me in a strange way (who is he? What brings him here? Does anybody know this Guy? What's he going to say?) Kind of looks. You know naturally I am moved by people who cry...I was greatly troubled in my heart but inside me I heard a voice speaking to me telling me that Moses Wake up! This is the time, I had difficulty in speaking their Language because it was a different tribe and I come from another tribe but Thank God I knew bits and bits of their language. I stood from where I was and I begun Saying, "Times Like these when we ask our selves so many Questions, wonder about what's going to happen next?, where was God and all this happened? And so many other questions. times like these when all hope seems to be Gone forever, No one to comfort you, to tell you the words that will help you heal so quickly, when you think you are all alone and No one seems to understand the way you feel, when you think every person is minding his own. I want to tell you that there is a man who really understands whatever you think, plan, one who cares actually he loves you more than you think about your self; he still loves you so much even when you sin!

I came with this man and he is the one who brought me here. I come from Kampala City which is the Main Capital of the Country, that's how far I came here to say these words to you. I have no relative here, neither a friend I came to visit but I just came with this man in this area to share something that's very vital in your life today. I would have been home by now I wouldn't risk traveling this whole Journey not even minding about the weather but this man brought me here and I am with him. His Name if Jesus Christ the true Son of The Living God!" as soon as I said that, the whole place was so silent actually I realized that even the people who were around me by the time Began speaking had distanced them selves away from me. I won't write everything that Happened but I am so thankful that when I said is there someone who wants to give his life to this Man Called Jesus? He can be your insurance because you can't tell which mountain is sliding tomorrow, you never know if you will be the Next or you won't ever hear these words again the time is now. I was filled with Joy when people began to approach me saying I want to accept this man. That only fueled me for the rest of my days and it was a sign and an assurance that God himself had sent me.

 The only Trouble I had was I never had Bibles to give out. The rest of the days got simpler and simpler, I was joined with other Christian brothers and sisters n The Lord and we walked around hiking from hill to hill taking Gods Delivering, saving and Healing Message around several villages and Communities. Lives of people were Blessed, Hope was revived, we prayed for the Sick, I was always tired by the time I went to bed. All the days I spent on mission God was so merciful and I was able to be connected to one of the Local pastors in that area and that's where I was sleeping. His church was destroyed that Night when the Rain begun. The Mudslides found some people praying in the Church and buried them including his wife and a 12 year old Daughter. 3 people were praying from outside who saw a rolling Rock from the mountain and just ran away. The rock hit the church followed by the running water mixed with Mud. I encouraged the pastor and on Sunday, I gathered other believers and we held the service under a Mango Tree. I shared with them a message from psalms 27 and also Jeremiah 29:11.

I am Grateful to God for what he did out there and I would wish that you include the people in that area in your prayers. They really Need Gods Grace and Mercy. There was fear that perhaps a disease might break out but I know it won't happen.
