Greetings!

We are just a week into 2010 and we are off to a roaring start. I spent a couple hours on New Years day going door to door. During that time, I hit more houses and collected more food than any other outing. A BLOG entry outlines the outing as well as provides some stats. Then the next day a group of us were witnessing at the Cotton Bowl. Please read about it in the BLOG.

On Sunday, we sent in the order for a new Valentine Tract to the printer. These will be featured in the February mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club. If you are not already enrolled in the Bezeugen Tract Club, why not enroll today and get a supply of tracts from us each month.

We ended the year on New Years Eve witnessing at Grapevine Mills mall. Debra and I got to share the Gospel with a number of people there. In addition to these witnessing encounters, we have already been out to the mall  this year sharing the Gospel. On Monday Craig and I had a wonderful conversations with Martin and Joshua. They both listened intently to the sharing of the Law and the Gospel. Martin told us he had never heard the Gospel before. Please pray for both of these boys' salvation.
As You Go
Witnessing online

It is always great to go out and witness. Sometimes however we can't get out of the house. Or maybe the time of day precludes us from getting out. I've been able to witness to a lot of people using social networks like Facebook and twitter. I'd like to point out two other great ways to witness online.

First, I have found that I can witness to Mormon missionaries using the chat function on the LDS web site. Go to the Mormon web site, enter your name and email and then select "start". Ask some questions about their web site or beliefs. Ask how to get to heaven. Ask how if they are Christian. Walk through the good person test. Then show them that only the true Biblical Jesus can save them. Use some resources like CARM to ask them questions and augment your research.

For the second item, I must give the credit to Tony Miano. He shared recently on his blog a new web site where you can "talk to strangers." It is easy to get on this site and have a conversation with a stranger, swing the conversation to the spiritual and then witness to them online. One word of warning, some of the strangers on there use extremely foul and crude language at times. Please read Tony's BLOG entry on this. Thanks, Tony, for pointing out this resource. For those wanting to practice one on one conversations, being able to do it in an anonymous way may be a great help to you!
Prayer Requests
We appreciate your prayers

  • Pray for something big that God is showing me. I'll provide details soon.
  • Pray for Super Bowl Outreach, February 4-7 in Miami  Carl will be attending
  • Pray for those in our ministry who are attending Ambassador Academy in the next few months
  • Pray for healing for tract club member Tim Heaton who  underwent surgery. He is now home from the hospital and continues to recover.
  • Pray for the development and ideas of some new tracts. Currently working up an Easter Tract.
  • Please pray for Moses in Uganda as he continues to take mission trips and share the Gospel. The tracts we sent in June have arrived in Uganda. Read the latest Grace Bible Church monthly newsletter to hear how they were used.
  • Please pray for the 2010 Basic Evangelism Training Seminar dates, typically the third Thursday of each month. The next two seminars are January 21 in Carrollton and February 18 in Pilot Point.

January 21 - Basic Evangelism Training Seminar at Escape, 1016 E Hebron Pkwy, Suite 180, Carrollton. 7-9PM

February 4-7 - Super Bowl Outreach in Miami. Please pray as 70+ evangelists hit the streets. I will be joining them.

February 18 - Basic Evangelism Training Seminar at Hot Grill Steak House in Pilot Point.
