Greetings!

Only nine days until Christmas. This Saturday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Paul would be in the marketplace witnessing. So why not grab some tracts this weekend and head to the mall to hand them out to the shoppers.

As you prepare to send your Christmas cards, why not add the ACLU and the President to your Christmas card list. We have provided a special Christmas card that you can print and send to them.

On Saturday, I had a good problem while witnessing door to door in my neighborhood. With the 35 houses I visited on Saturday, I have now been to 445 houses total. Please view the status update and continue praying for this effort.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. (Acts 13:2-3)

While studying this text in the Tuesday morning Bible study at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church a few months ago, I wondered about having the church commission me in my door to door evangelism efforts. I spoke with Pastor Biggs about it and he agreed that it was a good idea. So, on Sunday, me and my family were commissioned for this work. I would like to thank Pastor Biggs and the entire Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for coming along side of this evangelism effort to take the Gospel to every door in the City of Carrollton. The prayer covering of the church is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Witnessing to Muslims

Recently I have had many witnessing encounters with Muslims. I thought I'd share my general experiences and observations in hopes that it may help others while talking with Muslims. I'd first like to refer you to the article in the Evidence Bible that speaks to witnessing to Muslims. The author suggests starting with points of commonality which includes:

There is one God
Jesus is a prophet
Moses is a prophet

We can then leverage the common belief that Moses is a prophet to speak to the Muslims conscience using the Ten Commandments.

As I have spoken with a number of Muslims, I have found that there are a number of common objections that come up. I will expand upon them here.

Pray for healing for tract club member Tim Heaton who is undergoing surgery on Thursday.
Pray for healing of chronic shoulder pain of tract club member Betty Taylor
Pray for the development and ideas of some new tracts. Valentines tract is in final stages of preparation.
Please pray for Moses in Uganda as he continues to take mission trips and share the Gospel. The tracts we sent in June have arrived in Uganda. Read the latest Grace Bible Church monthly newsletter to hear how they were used.
Please pray for the 2010 Basic Evangelism Training Seminar dates, typically the third Thursday of each month. The next two seminars are January 21 in Carrollton and February 18 in Pilot Point.
