Greetings!
What a great week serving the Lord. We had the chance to witness to some Israeli Jews at the mall. Then I got to participate with some 1200 volunteers nationwide distributing over 170,000 copies of Origin of Species by going to the University of Texas at Austin . On Saturday, we went door to door in Carrollton and shared the Gospel with several Hindu's, a mormon and an agnostic. We have a great God that we serve. It is awesome to be able to represent him on the streets. Thanks for your prayers and partnership in the Gospel.
Speaking of thanks, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I've been reviewing Abraham Lincoln's Thanksgiving Proclamation. Lincoln rightly recalls, "the gracious gifts
of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for
our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy." Most of all this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the love of God who sent his Son to save me from His wrath. I am also thankful for my loving and supportive wife and my two sons. I am thankful to be gainfully employed. I am thankful for the freedoms that we enjoy to be able to share the Gospel. Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each of you. For those that come out witnessing with us, thanks for the encouragement we get when we are on the streets together. For those in the tract club, thanks for faithfully handing out tracts. We mailed over 5000 tracts to you this week and I am thankful that you will all be handing them out. And finally, to those of you behind the scenes that faithfully lift up this ministry and those of us out on the streets in prayer, we thank you. Remember, your prayers are part of our full armor of God that Paul speaks of in Ephesians 6:10-20
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

As You Go - Matthew 28:19 |

Part 9 - School of Biblical Evangelism
This is part 9 of the "As You Go" series. If you have missed any of the previous parts you can catch up using the index at the As You Go website. Last week I mentioned one of my favorite famous quotes about Evangelism is by Charles G Finney:
Make
it an object of constant study, and of daily reflection and prayer, to
learn how to deal with sinners so as to promote their conversion. I
indicated that I'd like to conclude this series by providing some
resources that I have found useful for learning about evangelism and
"dealing with sinners".
This week, I'd like to recommend a study called "The School of Biblical
Evangelism." The School of Biblical Evangelism offers 101 lessons on
Biblical Evangelism. The study takes you step by step from the basic
purpose of Evangelism all the way through providing background on world
religions and cults.

Prayer Requests |
|
We appreciate your prayers
- Pray for something big that God is showing me. I'll provide details soon.
- Organizational efforts for witnessing at the Dallas Christmas Parade on December 5th. This is one of the biggest events in Dallas each year. Last year the crowd was estimated at 400,000! Pray about your personal involvement. Could you hold a video camera and shoot video? Could you come and take pictures of the event? Could you work at a prayer booth? Could you hand out tracts? Could you pick up trash? Could you help go back and forth to the car and bring more tracts to those that are distributing? Can you pray for the event fervently - especially that God will raise up workers? Can you send a tax deductible donation to help cover the costs of printing as many as 50,000 Gospel tracts for this event?
- Praise for the "Origin Into Schools" project!
- Please pray for Moses in Uganda as he continues to take mission trips and share the Gospel. The tracts we sent in June have arrived in Uganda. Read the latest Grace Bible Church monthly newsletter to hear how they were used.
- Please pray for complete healing from brain tumor for Pastor Larry Brakenhoff of Alta Vista, KS. He and his church are members of the Tract Club and doing tremendous outreaches in central Kansas.
