Greetings!
What a fantastic week it has been serving our Lord. A week ago Monday, Todd and I were present when a man repented and put his trust in Christ. On Thursday and again on Monday we had some wonderful one on one conversations at the malls. On Saturday, we taught the Basic Evangelism Training Seminar at the Empowerment Christian Center in Farmers Branch and then took the attendees door to door. I hope you will read about this in the BLOG. Pastor Tony sent me a text message after the event that said, "Thanks Carl surely our eyes have been opened to the needs around us."
On Sunday, I was reading Ecclesiastes 3 for Project Ezra at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. Then I preached the Law and the Gospel. I must say, I get some strange looks from people when I bring "church" to the park on Sunday mornings. But, I know the Word is being heard. One woman stopped and listened intently for a few minutes. Then she left. A few minutes later she came back and handed me a note. When I got done preaching, I read the note. it was a note of blessing. WOW! God is good to send an encourager along the path. |
| Movie Night - THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, November 13 |

Bezeugen Ministries is pleased to present our quarterly movie night this Friday, November 13th at the home of Steve and Nita Dossin, 2613 Winterlake in Carrollton, TX. Please arrive between 7 and 7:30PM. The movie will start at 7:30. We will show Facing the Giants. This is a great opportunity for a low cost date night. It is also a great way to share the Gospel with your friends. Please let us know if you plan to attend by sending me an email.

Part 7 - Basic Evangelism Training Seminar
In the first six parts
of the series we have looked at the use of Gospel tracts in evangelism
and that even an atheist knows the importance of Evangelism. We have
watched two foundational messages called Hell's Best Kept Secret and
True and False Conversion. Finally, last week, we offered Jon Speed's
book which explains what Biblical Evangelism in the New Testament looks
like.
What we have found is the reason that people do not take the next step
and "go" share the Gospel is fear! You might be afraid you don't know
enough. Or afraid, you don't know what to say. Or maybe you are afraid
that you will offend someone. Or that they won't like you if they know
you are a Christian. These fears are all common to man. And even
seasoned evangelists have a hefty fear at times. Yet, because Christ
commanded us to evangelize, we must overcome our fear. People are dying
and going to hell. Their eternity is based on us overcoming our fear.

As You Go - Put Into Action

 Scare Crow
Betty Taylor posted this picture on Facebook. The picture is of a scare crow that she put in her yard. The tube being held in the scare crows hands is a pringles can filled with Million Dollar Bill Gospel tracts. The sign says "take one." I just love the practical way that Betty is witnessing to her neighborhood with this simple statement that catches their eye and offers a tract. Thanks, Betty for the idea.
I'd love to feature other practical ways that people are putting "As You Go" into action. Send me some pictures and your ideas and we will feature them here in future issues of the Bezeugen Blast!

We appreciate your prayers
- Pray that all those that read this will share the Gospel "As You Go!"
- Pray for Evangelism training follow-up and more witnessing door to door with ECC on Saturday, November 14th in Farmers Branch.
- Pray for 2010 seminar dates
- Pray for Joshua - a new believer in Christ!
- Pray for who you will invite to movie night on November 13
- Pray for the development of new tracts for the tract club. Pray also for the continued growth of the tract club. Pray about who you can tell about the tract club! And if you are not a member of the tract club, then pray about enrolling.
- Pray for wisdom and strength in how to reach Carrollton, TX with the Gospel.
- Pray for organization of training on November 7th for a church in Farmers Branch!
- Praises for several new contacts with people that are interested in sharing the Gospel, open air preaching, and go door to door!
- Organizational efforts for witnessing at the Dallas Christmas Parade on December 5th. This is one of the biggest events in Dallas each year. Last year the crowd was estimated at 400,000! Pray about your personal involvement. Could you hold a video camera and shoot video? Could you come and take pictures of the event? Could you work at a prayer booth? Could you hand out tracts? Could you pick up trash? Could you help go back and forth to the car and bring more tracts to those that are distributing? Can you pray for the event fervently - especially that God will raise up workers? Can you send a tax deductible donation to help cover the costs of printing as many as 50,000 Gospel tracts for this event?
- Pray for the "Origin Into Schools" project being organized by Living Waters as well as our team (including Jon Speed and myself) as we head to University of Texas at Austin for this.
- Please pray for Moses in Uganda as he continues to take mission trips and share the Gospel. The tracts we sent in June have arrived in Uganda. Read the latest Grace Bible Church monthly newsletter to hear how they were used.
- Please pray for complete healing from brain tumor for Pastor Larry Brakenhoff of Alta Vista, KS. He and his church are members of the Tract Club and doing tremendous outreaches in central Kansas.

Witnessing Events

We now have a separate mailing list for the complete list of witnessing events. If you are interested in receiving this email with the complete list of events so that you can participate in the events or provide prayer support, then please send me an email and I will add you to that distribution. A partial list of witnessing events is provided here. Monday's and Thursday's at lunch: witnessing at Valley View Mall, Galleria Mall, Gravevine Mills Mall, Irving Mall or Brookhaven College. If you would like to join us, please contact me for the specific location and time for a given day. November 12 - witnessing at Galleria Mall. 11:30-1PM.

November 15 - Project Ezra November - Origin into Schools - myself and Jon Speed will be at UT Austin. November 22 - Open air and tract distribution at Dallas Cowboys game in Arlington. Kickoff is at noon. We will arrive in Arlington sometime between 8-9AM. Please email me if you are interested in joining us. November 23 - "Third Monday" Bezeugen Bible Study. We meet at 6:30 for dinner. 7:30 is Bible study. At 8PM we package the December mailing of the tract club. Want to be among the first to receive our new Christmas Trivia tract?
