This week, I present part 4 in our ongoing series "As You Go." Part 4
I was raised in a Christian household. Confirmed in middle school. And drifted away from church in high school. My senior year of college, I felt God tugging on me to figure out what it meant to have a relationship with him. I graduated from college and moved to another state. I was not able to find a church that I liked and fit in. So I ignored what I knew was God calling me to come to him. I convinced myself that one day it would be important to get right with God, but this was not the day.
In 1991, I attended a church in DeSoto, TX. The Pastor asked me, "if you die today would you go to heaven?" I said, "of course, I am a good person!" He then explained the Gospel to me like I had never heard it explained before that. He showed me my sin through the mirror of the Ten Commandments and showed me my need to repent and trust in Jesus to save me. I did!
Immediately, I had a desire to tell others about Jesus. But, I did not know how. A few months later this same pastor offered an "evangelism class." I knew I had to take it! He taught a method that required a lot of memorization. Then we had to develop a testimonial and be able to share it with people. We went to other church members houses to practice. Looking back, I see this method was very cumbersome and I never was able to use it to share the Gospel with anyone.
Over the years, I've taken a number of other Evangelism training classes. Each time I came away continually frustrated still not knowing how to share the Gospel.
Fast forward to the spring of 2005. A friend of mine told me about Living Waters, Ray Comfort and the Way of the Master. He told me there was this teaching called Hell's Best Kept Secret. I decided to check it out. I realized that this teaching held the missing key of what I had been looking for to share the Gospel - law to the proud, grace to the humble.
I invite you to check out the video of this teaching (or click the image below). It has meant a lot to me. I pray that it will have the same positive impact on your desire to evangelize as well.

| Movie Night - Friday, November 13 |

| Bezeugen Ministries is pleased to present our quarterly movie night on November 13th at the home of Steve and Nita Dossin, 2613 Winterlake in Carrollton, TX. We will show either Fly Wheel or Facing the Giants. This is a great opportunity for a low cost date night. It is also a great way to share the Gospel with your friends. Did you realize that sharing the Gospel with those you know best is actually the hardest. However, with a movie, the actors present the Gospel. Afterwards you can ask your unsaved friend, "so what did you think of that." Boom! You are in a spiritual conversation with them. Watch this newsletter next week for the arrival and show time.
Dont' live near Carrollton, Texas and you'd like to praticipate? No problem! We have extra copies of Fly Wheel that we would be happy to send you ($10 suggested donation). Then you can invite your friends and host your own movie night in your home. If people take the offer for a copy of the movie, we will list other locations for the movie night in the Blast in the weeks leading up to the event. |

We appreciate your prayers
- Pray for the development of new tracts for the tract club. Pray also for the continued growth of the tract club. Pray about who you can tell about the tract club! And if you are not a member of the tract club, then pray about enrolling.
- Pray for wisdom and strength in how to reach Carrollton, TX with the Gospel.
- Pray for organization of training on November 7th for a church in Farmers Branch!
- Praises for several new contacts with people that are interested in sharing the Gospel, open air preaching, and go door to door!
- Organizational efforts for witnessing at the Dallas Christmas Parade on December 5th. This is one of the biggest events in Dallas each year. Last year the crowd was estimated at 400,000! Pray about your personal involvement. Could you hold a video camera and shoot video? Could you come and take pictures of the event? Could you work at a prayer booth? Could you hand out tracts? Could you pick up trash? Could you help go back and forth to the car and bring more tracts to those that are distributing? Can you pray for the event fervently - especially that God will raise up workers? Can you send a tax deductible donation to help cover the costs of printing as many as 50,000 Gospel tracts for this event?
- Pray for the "Origin Into Schools" project being organized by Living Waters as well as our team (including Jon Speed and myself) as we head to University of Texas at Austin for this.
- Please pray for Moses in Uganda as he continues to take mission trips and share the Gospel. The tracts we sent in June have arrived in Uganda. Read the latest Grace Bible Church monthly newsletter to hear how they were used.
- Please pray for complete healing from brain tumor for Pastor Larry Brakenhoff of Alta Vista, KS. He and his church are members of the Tract Club and doing tremendous outreaches in central Kansas.

Witnessing Events
and Calendar |
Monday's and Thursday's at lunch: witnessing at Valley View Mall, Galleria Mall, Gravevine Mills Mall, Irving Mall or Brookhaven College. If you would like to join us, please contact me for the specific location and time for a given day.
October 19-23 - Pray that Carl has some witnessing encounters during his business trip to New York.
October 23-25 - Pray for witnessing encounters are we "go" to San Antonio for my sons Marching Band contest.
October 25 - Project Ezra - possibly at the Texas State Capital as we may stop in Austin to check out possible Origin into Schools locations at UT Austin.
November 7 - Evangelism Training and witnessing event in Farmers Branch, TX. Details to follow.
October 31 - Project Ezra in Duncanville, TX. Email for details if you want to join us.
November 13 - Movie night at Steve and Nita Dossin's house at 2613 Winterlake, Carrollton, TX.
November - Origin into Schools - myself and Jon Speed will be at UT Austin. November 19 - Basic Evangelism Training Seminar in Carrollton, Texas. November 22 - Open air and tract distribution at Dallas Cowboys game in Arlington. Kickoff is at noon. We will arrive in Arlington sometime between 8-9AM. Details to follow as date gets closer. December 5 - Dallas Christmas Parade - We need 50 people to help us distribute 50,000 tracts! Please email me to RSVP! December 5 - Big XII Football Championship at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
