Greetings!
Today marks the 100th edition of the Bezeugen Blast. The first issue was distributed to a small group of prayer partners on August 1, 2007. Since then we have tried to send ministry updates, prayer requests, and encouragement to witness for Christ on a weekly basis. I want to thank each of you for your prayers and support. Please email me and let me know your thoughts on the Bezeugen Blast. Is the content helpful? Is the frequency about right? Would a blog be better? Or is just integrating in a blog like last week working? I'd like to hear from you!

Spiritual Conversations

 A friend of mine recently asked to have some videos posted to YouTube that provide insight on how to start spiritual conversations with people. I made four such videos this weekend. I thought I would share them with you for this weeks Blast!
The first video discusses how simply wearing a t-shirt from Voice of the Martyrs actually invites spiritual conversations. While on vacation in New Mexico, I actually had four or five conversations in one day simply because people asked me about the shirt! Why not order some of these shirts from Voice of the Martyrs for yourself?
The second video talks about how we can use things that we observe about people to ask them questions that lead to spiritual conversations. Ever had a thought about that t-shirt some teenager is wearing? Or a question about the tattoo a person has on their arm? They could be simple springboards to the Gospel!
The third video discusses using current events to swing a conversation intentionally from the natural to the spiritual. I give an example in the video of doing this twice within a 20 minute period and having great conversations that lead to the Gospel being shared.
The final video is a more specific version of the third. It takes a special category of current event, the deaths of celebrities, and uses them as the springboard to the Gospel.

Out of the Comfort Zone

 Carrollton, Texas
It is often said that if the vision is from God, it will seem so big that there is no way you can accomplish it. Well, in that case, I've heard from God. He is telling me to take the Gospel to every household in my town, Carrollton, TX. There are about 120,000 residents. I've determined that there are about 40,000 houses.
The plan is to go door to door, take prayer requests, share the Gospel and leave a good news / bad news Gospel tract regardless if we talk to anyone. Please pray for us as we start this effort this week.
If you are interested in helping with this effort then please email me. We will schedule a brief training session over lunch or a cup of coffee and then supply you with tracts and a format to gather prayer requests!

 Project Ezra
Project Ezra has a new format of reading a selected chapter from one of ten lists in the open air each weekend. I was able to participate in Dallas at the DART station. A video of my reading of John 3 and open air is available on YouTube.
On Sunday, Mande and I went to the Trader Days in McKinney, Texas. This is an outdoor fair that runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday one weekend a month. Mande had been with a couple of friends on Friday and said there was a Muslim booth there. So obviously, I was excited to go out there and talk with them. I had a good conversation with the Muslims there. Shared the Gospel with them. They said they would call me so we can continue our conversation. The neat thing about the market was that I was also able to witness to almost every shop owner that was there! There was also another group of evangelist that had a booth set up. Looks like we might be able to join in their efforts next month!
While witnessing, I sometimes come across people who claim that the
Trinity is not taught in the Bible and instead it was added by
Christians later after the Bible was written. While, the term "trinity"
does not appear in the Bible, the concept is clearly taught. I'll point
out that in the creation account, God gave man the authority to name
things, so actually, man coming up with the term Trinity is fine. Please read the rest of the article in the Bezeugen Blog!
