Greetings!
On Saturday, I completed Islam 101 class. Graduation Day, so to speak! This week I will report on my thoughts. On Saturday night, Eric, Mande and I went and handed out 500 tracts at the
FC Dallas game. Eric put it this way, "I dread going out, but when I come home I am always
glad I went." I hope you will share the Gospel with someone today. If you dread the thought, simply be obedient to God's call - and
I think you will be glad that you did! Monday, Todd, Mande and I were at Brookhaven College in Dallas where we had many wonderful witnessing encounters. We plan to go back next Monday and bring some water and soft drinks to give out to the students! The April Bezeugen Tract Club mailing will go in the mail on Friday. We have a special surprise to include as well as three new tracts. If you are not already a member, please be sure to enroll in the tract club! Do you know someone else that would enjoy this weekly email update and encouragement to share the Gospel? Why not use the forward link at the bottom to send it to them and encourage them to subscribe?

Witnessing Tip

A million dollars! Hypothetical situation. Let's say there is a certain house where if you knock on the door the person that lives there will give you a million dollars. One time per person. Would you tell your friends so that they could also get a million dollars? In Jesus, we have something worth far more than a million dollars. We have eternal life. The thing that is amazing about Jesus is that I can tell everyone I know about Him and still have Him for myself! So why not be sure to tell others about Him!
What I have found even more amazing is that people will not spend time to check if that house where you can get a million dollars is true. Think about it, do you know anyone that would not even check if it was true? Yet with something far more important, eternal salvation, many people won't take a few minutes to even begin the investigation. Send them to www.AfterLifeCatalog.com. We now have three books (Case for Christ, One Heartbeart Away and How Good is Good Enough) available for non-believers to request so they may further their investigation of the truth. Please refer people that are seeking the truth to these resources.
We have new Obama Million Dollar Bill tracts. People love these. They are so easy to hand out. Just tell the person to be sure to check out the million dollar question on the back!
Living Waters is sold out of Obama Million Dollar Bills! But, we have some! They are going out in the Bezeugen Tract Club mailing on Friday. Be sure you have enrolled to get yours!

Pipe Cleaner People

Praying for the lost
At Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Texas, they have a really neat method of reminding people to pray for their lost friends and family that they are witnessing too. It is called Pipe Cleaner People. You go into the fellowship hall and pick up a set of pipe cleaners. You use them to make a pipe cleaner person. Then you can hang it on one of the crosses at the front of the church. We worshiped there last week. I made one and Brendan made two for his friends at school that he has been witnessing too! Maybe you don't have a pipe cleaner person program at your church. We love to pray for the lost. If you have witnessed to someone that you would like us to pray for you can submit their name for prayer on our web site or via email to names@bezeugen.org. We'll add their name (first name only) to the site. |

Graduation Day
On Saturday I completed the Islam 101 class. Five weeks! I made some new friends that hopefully will contact me so we can talk more. I pray that they will come to know the truth, repent, and trust in Jesus. The last session was on so called contemporary issues. They covered everything from Jihad to the morally good way that Muslims live. They talked about how Muslims embrace education, government and medicine. As I listened the thing that kept going through my mind was, "so what?" We eventually got into Q&A. The leader of the session was a man who had set out to be a Baptist minister and evangelist but in college converted to Islam. Someone asked him how he converted. In the process he explained Islamic salvation (through faith in the oneness of God). He then put up a slide that showed the moral life of a Muslim including that they obey the Ten Commandments. So I raised my hand and asked, "have you ever told a lie?" "Yes", came the answer. So, I asked, "how do you get forgiveness for your sin?" He then explained his belief that if there is forgiveness then there can be no payment and if there is a payment then there can be no forgiveness. This is idolatry. These people have made up a god to suit their own desires. The Bible clearly states that God requires a payment to be made for sin. Fortunately that payment has been made for us at the cross! The other thing I found interesting is that they claim to believe in the Bible. However, they claim that the Bible we have today has changed. So when questioned they would say something like, "if Moses were standing here, then I would believe what he is saying." Here is an example. Adam and Eve sinned. This established original sin - that all men are born into sin. However, the Quran states that Adam and Eve repented and then were forgiven by God, This is contrary to the account in the Bible in Genesis 3 that God first promises a savior. I offered several people copies of The Case for Christ. But they all declined saying that I should be open to consider the truth. This really cracked me up. I am the one that just spent five weeks learning what they believe. All I asked them to do is to investigate what I believe also so that we could discuss it. I am glad I went to the class. I had many good witnessing encounters at the class. I feel well equipped to witness to Muslims now.

Host a Movie Night
|
|
Flywheel You have heard of Fireproof and Facing the Giants. The movie that kicked off the movie ministry for Sherwood Baptist Church is Flywheel. Last week we got a copy of this movie and watched it Friday night. I loved it! On Saturday, I picked up a number of copies at the local book store. We are now making these available to you. This is a feature length movie with a run time of two hours. It shows the changed life that comes about through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Here is my offer. Order a copy of the movie. Watch it yourself. Then invite some unsaved friends over for a movie night. Pop some popcorn! Watch the movie! Then ask your friends what they though of the movie and discuss it. To request your copy, send and email to request@bezeugen.org. A suggested donation of $10 would be appreciated to support the ministry.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?
