While talking with the group of teens at the Shops at Legacy on Friday night, it turned out that one of them is Muslim. He told me that he was offended by what I had said about his faith (trying to get to heaven by good works). Then his friend said he was upset that I had offended his best friend. I challenged his friends, asking
them why they had never shared the Gospel with him. They said, "no." I asked them what good it is to be best friends here on earth for 40-50 years of life if you are only going to be separated from your friend for all of eternity because they are in hell and you are in heaven. It really made them stop to think.
So let me ask you. Do you have
non-Christian friends? What are you doing to share the Gospel with them so that they don't end up in hell?
May I suggest a "movie night". I watched a movie recently called "The Board" on DVD. It is a short movie that portrays a board meeting in a mans mind where he makes decisions about his daily life. The members of this board (Mind, Memory, Emotion, Heart, Will and Conscience) eventually have to deal with what to do with the man who has been witnessing to him!
I am offering to send you a copy of this DVD under one condition: you must watch it with a friend that has not yet repented and trusted in Jesus. Invite them over and tell them something like, "I have heard about this interesting movie, I wonder if you'd watch it with me and let me know your thoughts about it."
The movie can be ordered from
One Million Tracts today. A preview is also available on that site. Once you watch the preview,
email me if you would like a copy to show to your unsaved friends.
There are other movies available where the Gospel is shared (Fireproof and Facing the Giants) or thought provoking discussion about God could take place like Expelled or The Case for Christ on DVD. The important thing is to get your friend thinking about eternity so you can share Christ with him (or her).
